Chapter 9: A Day Away From The Boys

-Gabriel-

Cassie’s arms are barely holding on to me. If I went any faster I feel like she would let go all together. It seems the slower I go the tighter she holds on, but it also means my shoulder gets abused.

In case you’re wondering, while we were in my car she continuously puppy-dog-eyed me until I caved and went to my house to get my bike. She already has big eyes, but when she makes them go all sad, I just can’t refuse.

I slowed down a bit; she squeezed my waist just before whacking my shoulder with maximum strength, causing us to swerve and her to giggle.

“Aye, don’t hit the driver!” my back vibrated because of her.

“Well then, speed up!” she whined. I shook my head and clutched the accelerate. I looked in the side mirror when I couldn’t feel her arms anymore. They dragged by her side, her head thrown back, she appeared to be relaxed. Her face is filled with glee. Her eyes fluttered closed. Wow! Just wow, how can she shut her eyes on this thing? I mean I have had it for over a year and the second I start her up I am wide awake, even I’m a little scared to ride it. But she sleeps on it.

I take a sharp turn to try and jolt her awake but she chuckled and sagged onto my back. My hand lies on her knee and I gently squeeze. That got her to snuggle into me as if I were a teddy bear.

I pulled into the parking lot of a quaint little shopping center. Cassie snapped up in a heartbeat.

“What the hell? Ouu, wait where are we?” she looks around us and smiled a little. Just then my phone buzzed in my back pocket. I pulled it out and read the text from Braydon.

ShitHead:                                                                                                                                                                Hey dude, how’d your fight go the other night? Cassie ran beside me and bumped her hip with mine. She pouted slightly when I didn’t stumble, making me chuckle.

Me:                                                                                                                                                                            I kicked ass, as always. I replied quickly. Moments later my phone lit up.

Shit Head:                                                                                                                                                                 And not a scratch to be seen. Impressive show off, as always. Sorry I couldn’t make it; my roommate was being a dick!!!  I rolled my eyes even though he couldn’t see me.

Me:                                                                                                                                                                        No worries. GTG doin’ something.

Shit Head:                                                                                                                                                       Hooker? It’s gotta be a hooker. Am I right? I’m right, right? I shook my head and laughed a little.
