𝑁𝑂 𝑃𝑂𝑉

today was a new day. new freedom. no captivity.
tyler's arm was luckily only dislocated, leaving him with a shoulder brace, and some minor pain.

but the damage was inside. a damage that no one could fix. it was the trauma that was added on to the already traumatic past he had.

"where is my baby??!"
tyler's mom yelled through the physical therapy unit that tyler was currently sitting in with rakim .

the physical therapist wanted to go through a few things with the boy and even with his friend.

"tyler!! tyler! tyle- oh baby!!"
tyler's mom came to hug to bruised boy who made his best attempt to hug his mom .

"baby how ya feelin?? i was going crazy with our you. i bothered all the neighbors on a search party even. thank these kind sweeties for finding ya!"

tyler nodded his head as a smile painted his chunky cheeks. he couldn't even make up words to thank the boys. but hey!

new friends!!

tyler looked at rakim who was looking down at the floor. rakim couldn't fathom the feeling of having tyler back.

he would have a sensory overload every time he thought about it. so he left it alone and excepted that tyler is home.

"tyler okonma??"
tyler rose up with his crutches as they made an annoying but acceptable noise. rakim followed after him and his mom went in joyfully

the doctor looked up at the three with welcoming eyes. before nodding his head for them to sit down.

"why hello tyler, mom and, brother??"
"u-uh friend"
"best friend"

tyler corrects rakim which makes him blush.
"alrighty so i see you're at therapy so you can start when the cast are completely off which will be soon for the leg and soon for the arm right??"

"yes"
"ok so when is your cast due to come off?"
"uhmm actually i think maybe tommorow or the day after that. it had a really quick healing process."

the doctor smiles as he nods.
"well that's good. i made your appointment for next week. so when you get your cast off it's going to come with a brace."

the doctor takes a breathe as he points down to tyler's cast.
"so your also going to have a walker for a whole to gain that stability, but you will be able to walk around the house."

ms. okonma gave motherly eyes to the doctor as he looked at her
"with help of course"
her gaze turned into squished eyes as she chuckled.
"so that is all for today. it's good to see that the wounds are recovering and yea! i'll see you."

"so when you come back just as for mr. evans and i'll be there for your appointment, ok?"

"yes bye mr. evans.
"bye have a nice one."
"you too sir"

they all walk out as tyler smiles at the workers. the day is sunny and smiles are the new norm.
rakim looks down at tyler and can't stand but be happy.

"alright boys so what's up with you guys. who's house are we going to?"
"ummm t can come to my house. my mom just texted me."

"mkay and t baby just know i'm always one call away if ya need anything."
tyler nods as he begins to converse with rakim about random subjects.

"o-ok but that cloud looks like m-minnesota."
rakim looks up and notices that it really does
"oh yea, you pay attention in history."

"i have no choice but to listen to mr. brian's. i mean he's in my face 24/7"
tyler laughs as rakim does too.
