7:45 a.m.
I was dropped off by Aunt Kara. Striding underneath the arch with the academy symbol, a slight grin engulfed me. It was an honor to attend the one and only UA Academy, alongside some of the world's greatest heroes. Opening the front doors that awaited my future, I arrived to see two smiling faces, possibly waiting for me. They were friendly looking, one had brown hair with bright brown eyes and rosy cheeks. The second one was a little more hunched over which gave her a shorter figure. She had long dark green hair that seemed to be braided in a weird way, and black beady eyes with a long grin. Her quirk, I guessed, is probably a mutation quirk like mine. And surprisingly, they didn't look afraid of me, I think they didn't know the story of why I came here. The first thing I did was smile back at them, just trying to make a good first impression.
"Hi! I'm Uraraka Ochaco, you must be Moriko." The brown-haired girl spoke with a bubbly tone that made me amused. I'm starting to feel more comfortable after my crazy fit with my brain. I feel very welcomed already.
"And I'm Asui Tsuyu, but just call me Tsu. It's nice to meet you." I shook both of their hands with a greeting.
"Nice to meet ya!" I replied as my grip tightened and I shook more aggressively. And then something finally dawned on me, I didn't know which class I was in. Damn it.
"You're in our class. Class 1-A. Aizawa Sensei had told us that we're going to be your greeting and escort." Uraraka said. Thank fricking goodness. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I followed the two students around the school. They showed me the classrooms and I was introduced to a few teachers. One dark blue haired teacher was dressed very...I'm not gonna say it. This school was bigger than I thought. From the outside it looks like a normal sized mansion, but on the inside it looks as if it's as big as a whole shopping mall! My old school doesn't compare to this.
My brain clicked, "When does class start? I don't wanna get expelled this time for being late." I said jokingly.
"8:30. We're heading to 1-A right now." Answered Tsu. I'm curious to see what my other classmates are like. I'm pretty excited to meet them.
Finally, after the tour, we made it to the door of the class. I walked in first, followed by Tsu then Uraraka. I made sure to keep my head up and high. I've always had really big trouble with my bad posture, Aunt Kara had to teach me a few things. But I think this is where I'm putting all of my practice to the test. Everyone in the classroom turned their heads. I guessed that the adult that stood in the front of the class was the teacher. He looked pretty strange, like he hasn't slept and washed his hair for weeks. He spoke to the class, "Alright, this is the new student. Introduce yourself up front."
I've never had trouble speaking in front of large crowds, I kinda like all of the eyes on me. "Uh, hey. I'm Moriko Yoru. I come from the countryside."
"Tell us more about yourself."
"I- uh- my quirk is called snake. I can stun people with my eyes for nearly 60 seconds and I hiss to up the ante, for an extra 20 seconds I think. That's all I've seen it do for now. I...can spit out venom and I can also morph my legs into a snake tail." Since when did I stutter? Well I did burn my tongue with hot chocolate this morning, damn it still hurts.
"Gnarly fangs you got there!" A boy with spiky red hair called out. I smiled, he had pointed teeth like mine.
"Take a seat." Said Aizawa-Sensei. I think that was his name, that's what those girls said. There was an empty seat between a blond boy and a girl with bright blue eyes and long brown hair. The boy's eyes looked...interesting . He looks like he is constantly pissed about something, he's gonna get wrinkles if he keeps that up. I took my seat and placed my backpack beside my chair. Aizawa-Sensei began to talk about a subject that I already learned about. This class is gonna be a walk in the park. I leaned back into my chair and began to look upon the seated students. They all had their own unique appearances and there was a girl who was even invisible. Quite an impressive quirk.
I've always had this bad habit of squirming in my seat, I can never last two minutes without tapping my foot or switching from leaning back to leaning forward. And, to my own shame I should call it, I always tend to intrude on other's conversations. I can't help it, and I don't mean to speak so loudly as well. If anyone saw me at the dinner table then hell they would see that it's a nightmare. But sitting here now, with the balls of my foot hopping up and down, I'm forcing myself to bite my tongue. Heck it would be a miracle if I could get through this day without an outburst.
"Tch, give me a break." The glaring boy mumbled. I already didn't like this guy. His red eyes stabbed right into me.
"Uh...what?" I said under my breath.
"I know why you're here, we all do. They're just pretending to not know about it or whatever. Such cowards. Don't do anything funny or I'll roast your ass."
"I don't think you know who you're talking to, Blondie."
"Shut up pile of scales. I'm surprised they didn't put you in Tartarus. Since that kid can't see the light of day again I think you shouldn't either. Just step down now before things get worse for you."
I stood up. And I don't even understand why I did this, I tackled him to the ground, hissing and pulling his rats nest of a head. That's what happens when you insult me. I'm not saying he deserves it, but he definitely needed to get his teeth knocked out. I could hear him swearing at me as he tried to get me off of him. Punching him in the side upper lip, he spat out a tooth. His mouth got bloody. His fist slammed against my nose, causing blood to gush out. But before I could do anything else, I was restrained, same with the blond boy. Looking to my left, I could see Aizawa-Sensei giving me an unpleasant look. Well...I'm busted...again.
