February 9th 10:30 a.m.
In-school suspension has been kind of a drag for me. It's only my second day of it. The room that I'm in is small and empty. I'm sitting on a single desk that is placed by the windows. But, I'm not very surprised about the blinds being shut so I wasn't distracted. The work wasn't very hard though. I learned this stuff in my old school. I went through this work like a breeze. But just when I thought I was off the hook, someone walked through the door. It was Blue Eyes, she was carrying a some-what intimidating sized packet. "Uh...Aizawa-Sensei told me to deliver this to you. He noticed that you were going through that work too quickly and easily so he gave you something more challenging to do." Her voice had a strong and confident tone to it, but at the same time there was a slight bit of gentleness that was hidden among it.
I grunted as I received the dreadful packet, "Yeah thanks a lot." I said sarcastically.
"Hey, I just want you to know that Bakugou is finally back in class. He came back yesterday with an ice pack to his face."
"Oh, that kid? Blondie? Man I wish I could see what he looks like now, gotta be a funny picture. Hey tell him that if he gives me the stink eye again, he'll have to deal with my fangs." I laughed with a crooked smile. Blue Eyes frowned at the comment.
"Bakugou is my friend. We've known each other since elementary. He's not as bad once you really get to know him, and I believe that you're the same."
"Yeah whatever. Thanks for the packet, Blue Eyes." I turned my face away from her gaze. The girl began to walk off, but then she stopped suddenly.
"I want to get to know you better. How about we go out after school on Friday. How about that restaurant next to the mall?"
It's been a while since I've gone out before. Ukita and I used to hang out after school all the time. Going back to that would be good for me I guess. And I think the restaurant that she's talking about is the one that Aunt Kara works at. "Yeah sure." I grinned.
"That's great! Is 3 okay with you?"
"Yeah it is. The name's Moriko Yoru."
"Mayuma Jaki." We smiled at each other. I haven't felt this way since the first time I met Ukita.
February 13th 2:30 p.m.
Digging through my closet, I pulled out a black t-shirt and baggy camouflage patterned pants along with my dark grey and red hoodie. It's the best I can do since my sense of fashion sucks. I decided to put on my chain cuffed earrings since it's been a while since I've worn them, I think they make me look really good.
Almost halfway out the front door, Uncle Haru stopped me. "Do you have your phone on you? I don't want you to run into any villains while you're out." He always worries about me.
"I always do. You don't have to be so anxious all of the time."
"Okay. Have fun and be back around 5:00. Say hi to Kara for me."
I nodded with a smile and jogged out the door. It wasn't as cold as it was yesterday, but the clouds covered the sky. I didn't live very far from the restaurant, it's only a ten minute walk. The city was very lively today. One of those big screens on the buildings had shown a news report, talking about these two villains. I stopped in my tracks to see what was going on. I sometimes get interested in those types of stories. The news reporter had talked about two villains that have escaped Tartarus prison. They must be pretty dangerous. There was no picture shown on screen to see what they looked like, and the descriptions from the news reporter weren't helping at all. One of them was described to have razor sharp teeth and lime green eyes. Another one was described to have black hair and pale skin. I wonder what those villains are up to. But I don't have time for this anymore, snapping myself out of it I feared that I was late. Oh good it's only 2:55. I can make it.
Blue Eyes hadn't arrived yet when I got there. I sat down at a table and looked at the menu. It wasn't long until a girl wearing jeans, a white buttoned down shirt, and a green knitted vest over it came walking in. Mayuma was a little late but her face was lit up. We were eye to eye, I waved at her as she took her seat. I was a little jealous over how great she looked.
"Sorry I'm late, I was watching this news report. Did you order yet darling?"
"Not yet." I said. I've never been called darling before. "I'll call over a waiter. OH WAITER!!"
Mayuma chortled briefly. "You're gonna get us in trouble."
I laid back in my chair. "Nonsense! I know pretty much all of the waiters here. My Aunt Kara owns this place. When we first moved here she took over the business from the last owner. I can act any way I want and I won't get in trouble."
A tall male waiter shuffled over to our table holding an empty tray. "C-Can I get you anything for you two?"
"Get me...uh...a bowl of lemons. Just lemons, no water or ice."
The waiter gave me a weird look, I held the urge to punch the daylights out of him. I can't stand people who give those looks.
"I'll take a coffee with three sugar cubes and just a spoon of milk." Mayuma seems like the type of person that always knows what they want. Like, every time she goes to a restaurant she would order the same specific thing.
As the waiter walked off, I thought of one more thing to say to him, "Hey your shoes untied!" The waiter looked down to his feet as kept on walking, running into the wall. I bursted, "Bwahaha! He fell for it!" Mayuma put her hands to her mouth, nearly snorting. We both weezed in the sight.
"That was too good!" Mayuma clutched her stomach.
"Thanks, I know. Oh, watch this." My voice went down to a whisper. I gathered up all of the silverware on the table. "May I borrow your napkin?" I asked Mayuma. I nabbed it out of her hand and piled the silverware into the napkin, like a bag almost. "Are you ready? One...two...THREE!" I released the silverware into the air. Forks, spoons, and even knives went everywhere. Some people stood up from their seats in surprise.
"Oh my- Moriko you- Hahaha what!" The brunette's eyes filled up with tears of laughter. We both began to burst out into a ballistic ball of madness. I fell off of my chair and rolled on the ground, I also clutched my stomach. It's been nearly five minutes since our laughing fit had started, people began to question if we were okay. But we eventually calmed down and I sat back in my chair.
