Hinata's POV:

The rain fell hard, and I was glad it was. Tears fell harder than the rain as I gazed upon Neji's grave. At the moment, I had no time to mourn, but all my tears couldn't hold themselves. The Hyuga Clan stood behind me, and Naruto was at my side. When the funeral was over, I placed a sunflower over Neji's grave. I took a moment and wiped the tears from my eyes.

"Hinata, you must be strong. For him and us." The father spoke.

I felt a hand go on my shoulder, "This is a time of grief. No one should hold any emotions in. Especially Hinata. To be strong, one must also be vulnerable." Naruto replied respectfully.

"Yes, of course. However, clan-" Anger bubbled up inside me.

"Clan duties can wait. Sorry for being a disappointment once more. The clan would be better off with me in his place." I stated and began to walk away.

"Hinata I-"

"Save it," I replied as I hurried away. I did not know where I was going, but I ended up at my old training ground. I walked up to the wood and saw the marks from the punches I gave while training.

"Byakugan!" I commanded and began to bring my frustration onto it. I started sobbing and was so angry that the post broke.

"Yikes, I'd hate to be the person," Naruto said, landing from the treetops.

"Yeah, I think I might have overdone it just a little." I chuckled softly, my face becoming instantly red.

"Hinata?" Naruto asked as he stepped in front of me, "did you mean what you said back there?"

I looked down, and his presence radiated warmth.

"Well, Naruto-Kun, I was very frustrated, so I mean it came of anger. But-"

"NO BUTS!" Naruto yelled.

"What? I said, taken back. He grabbed my shoulders gently and placed his head on my shoulder, "You saved me, time and time again. You put your life on the line for mine! If you died, I would've never forgiven myself. Back in the war and when fighting Pain. I owe you so much, Hinata."

Naruto's POV:

I can't believe she'd give up her life that easily.

"Naruto-kun, no, thank you." She smiled.

She has such a pretty smile.

"It's no problem, but you are going to get sick. Here take my jacket." I put my jacket over her because she was shivering.

"Yeah, I know. It just-" Her breathing quickened, "It's um. I'm sorry. I need a minute."

"No. Don't apologize. Wait. Come here." She took my arm to steady herself. '

"I-I'm having a p-panic attack. " She said shakily. I grabbed her and brought her to my place.

"Here," I grabbed a pillow and put her down, "Follow my breathing. It's okay. It's been a long day."

She calmed down and sat up slowly, "Thank you so much. I am sorry for troubling you. I should head home now."

"Wow, wait. No. Look, I was going to come back alone anyway, so please, I'm offering that I have some sweats and a t-shirt you can change into so you can shower and not get sick. I also only have instant ramen. It's not a lot, but I want to help."

"Sure. If your offering, it would be rude not to accept."

"Alright!" I smiled, and my heart started beating fast.

Am I getting sick?

Hinata went to take a shower, and I went to look for some food in my cabinets.

"Um, Naruto-kun?"

"Yes Hinata?"

"Could you pass me the clothes and a towel?"

"Oh right. Sorry!" I closed my eyes and had an urge to peak, but I kept it in and gave it to her.

She came out fully dressed, and she looked good.

Snap out of it, dammit!

I heated two of my favorite ramen noodle cups, and Hinata ate adequately, and I made a mess of myself when devouring ramen.

"Wow, that was so delicious!" Hinata said happily, finishing slurping up her ramen.

So cute!

"I put your clothes to dry; however, they are still wet. If you want, return them tomorrow."

"Okay, thank you so much, Naruto! You're a very kind person. That's why I like people like you." She grabbed an umbrella and her clothes.

Why does that sound familiar?

"Yeah. No problem, Hinata!" She waved goodbye and left in a blink of an eye.

At that moment, I realized how her presence how lit up the room and how I weirdly wanted her to come back.
