Chapter 3

A long time ago, in an era where there was no concept of 'shinobi', in an attempt to end an era of violence, a certain someone ate a forbidden fruit and gained the power of chakra.

However, as time passed, they became obsessed with that power.

To bring justice to the world, what is it that we need?

Power or love?

This question would start an arduous war... which has continued throughout the generations

Hinata's Flashback:

I was walking around admiring the beautiful fallen snow while being when two boys came up snickering.

"Hey, if you're a Hyuga show us your Byakugan! If you can't don't show your face around here! Your eyes are really creepy. I bet you're actually a monster, right? You Byakugan monster!"

I began crying hurt by the words they spoke. This wasn't the first time this happened and I hated it because I could not do anything. I couldn't even activate my byakugan, it would not look good as the heir of the Hyuga Clan. 

"Hey, stop it!" A heard a voice yell and my classmate Uzumaki Naruto stood in front of me.

"What's your problem?" 

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto! I'm the future hokage!"

Hokage? He wants to become Hokage? 

"The 'future hokage'?" The boys laughed. 

"Are you some kind of moron?" 

"Prepare yourself! Kagebunshin no jutsu!" He said and two little clones appeared.

"I'm going to beat you!" One said

"Me too!" The other seconded.

"Take that!" The boys beated him up and I watched in horror.

I stood over him and waited for him to wake up. He suddenly jumped up and said, " It's not over yet! This time I will bet on an awesome jutsu!"

"Are you okay?" I said worriedly. 

I couldn't do anything.

"It's nothing." He replied standing up.

"Your scarf. Those boys they--" I stopped myself," I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it." He smiled at me and I realized he wasn't mad at me. He began to leave.

"Wait...Thank you so much." I smiled and waved goodbye.

"See you!"

"If the world were to end tomorrow, who would you like to spend your last day with?" Iruka sensei went on 

"Like that would ever happen." Naruto groaned

"Just suppose..."He sighed pinching his nose annoyed at Naruto, "The moon began to fall."

Naruto complained once more and sent his paper flying out the window. I chuckled and watched the plane fly away. My pencil in my hand did not hesitate to write his name down.

_YEARS LATER_

Naruto POV: 

I kept receiving lots of gifts and praise lately from the villagers. An era of peace has begun and the festival was coming up. 

I felt really happy but I felt like something was missing. So, I went around the village and saw Hinata walking with a little bag. Sakura came up and Hinata lit up and as the conversation continued Hinata seemed to get flustered. 

She looked so cute when she was flustered. Wait? What?

The girls walked away and went into a shop to eat. My heart started beating faster and I shook it off.

Konohamaru saw me and called me over, we walked together and he gave me something that belonged to my mother. I grabbed the scarf and put it on. It made me very happy and I invited people to get ramen.

-MEANWHILE LATER THAT NIGHT-

Hiashi POV:

"This is a celestial decree upon the Hyuga clan. I will ask you one last time. Let me hear your answer, Hyuga Hiashi. The answer, which will decide the future of your clan." 

No, this I will not allow. I've hurt her so much that I don't have the heart to do it anything against her will.

"This is the Hyuga's..." I braced myself for escape,"...reply!" My men held off his soldiers and I made a run for it.

"How foolish," Toneri said and began his attack as he smiled and disappeared.

Hinata's POV:

"It looks quite big, doesn't it? All done!" I sighed proudly.

I put my heart and soul into it.

I'm sure my feelings will reach Naruto-kun.

But will they?

It's already late.

"Maybe tomorrow would be better? No! I'll give it to him tonight." I paced back and forth, "Or maybe tomorrow...No, tonight. Or maybe tomorrow..."

"Why don't you just hurry up and tell him how you feel already?" Hanabi laughed at me.

"Hanabi!" I cried, "If you were there all along why didn't you say so?!"

"Watching a girl agonize over love is more fun." She replied.

"That's no way for a child to talk." I scoffed.

"I'm not a child, my Byakugan's perception is as good as any grown up!" She boasted and I rolled my eyes. She turned my attention to her kunai.

"Treating your kunai like a toy again?" I groaned.

"He'll burst out laughing if your tummy growls while you're confessing your love." Hanabi smirked.

"Who said I was going to confess anything?!" I blushed frustrated. 

"Rather than giving him a scarf, maybe you should try dressing a bit more fashionably?" I shook my head and told her to go to bed. I would be back soon and if anything the maids will contact me.

Naruto's POV:

"It's getting to to that time of year when ramen really hits the spot." I told Sakura and the others.

"You only ever eat ramen all year long."

"You really like ramen, don't you?" Ino asked.

"Yup, I love it." I smiled widely.

"Five more orders of gyoza."

"Coming up!" The old man replied.

"Five orders?!" They gasped.

"I can't eat five more orders."

"Then don't have any."

"Time to eat. Oh... Can't get this dirty."

"Hey, that scarf--" Sakura started then she saw me walk by, "Oh, Hinata." She waved me over.

"Join us if you haven't eaten." I said smiling widely at her, "It's on me tonight!" 

She was dressed in a long skirt, a pink t-shirt, and cardigan and her hair was down. She looked very pretty and my heart began to beat faster.

"He said something made him happy and he wants to celebrate." Sakura replied.

"B-but..." I got flustered by the amount of eyes on me.

"Don't be shy, come and sit here." Sakura motioned me to sit next to Naruto.

"Join us, Hinata." I offered and she smiled softly.

"O-okay." She moved to sit down when the girls from earlier came over.

"Naruto-senpai!"
