The Crystal Academy: Winter

Chapter 1

"Ada do you really have to go? "

"Yes mom"

"After what happened to your sister, we do not even know if she is alive. all we know is she went missing, don't go to that academy it is not for us" her mother pleaded

Ada knew that going to Crystal Academy may not be her best decision, it might also prove to be fatal, but she had to go! she had to find out what happened to her sister, she had to fulfil her dream, dream which she and her sister saw together, they had always wanted to study in Crystal Academy

Crystal Academy which catered to only the rich, the beautiful and the smart

Unsurprisingly that was the criteria of admissions as well, be stinking rich, be unbelievably beautiful or be exceptionally smart

She had got admission in the third category, she was extremely smart

"Are you listening to me Ada, please don't go there! I have only you left, after Ana left, I don't want to lose you" her mother cried

Ada hugged her

"Mom I really wish to know what happened to her! Do you not? "

"I do but-"

"Mom when her letters stopped coming, you were the one who almost died out of shock, especially after that termination letter by the academy stating that Ana has left the academy and her admission is terminated, and she had still not come back to us-"

"My Ana, my sweet little Ana, We don't know what happened to her, what if something happens to you too" her mom was still crying, hugging her desperately, somehow wanting her to not go, knowing it perfectly well that she will have to leave, knowing that Ada would do anything to know what happened to her sister.

"Mom I want to know, what happened to her, I have to go, there is no other way"

"But sweetie, what about you, your secret once they learn it, you will not be spared, it is a cruel world sweetheart, don't go! "

"Nothing will happen to me mom, I will make sure that you get both your daughters back! Next spring Ana will be with us! "

Ada consoled her crying mother, as she finished her final luggage.

She set the alarm at 7 a. m as she had to leave tomorrow for the academy.

I will find my sister, before my 21st birthday, she promised herself, before she went to sleep

Crystal Academy was everything they talked about, Ada stood at the entrance of the academy there were huge gates on both side, which were covered in snow

She wrapped her arms around herself, as she lowered her beanie almost covering her eyes and pushed her glasses firmly on the bridge of her nose, she blew air on her gloved hands to warm them, to no avail.

It was 6 p. m by the time she had reached the academy, the huge imposing structure which was once her dream suddenly seemed daunting ,the huge windows looking imposing, the academy itself was covered in snow, the roofs were white with snow, the window seals seemed as if they had turned into ice.

"Excuse me miss"

Someone called her from behind

He seemed like a security guard

"What are you doing here miss, it doesn't seem you belong here" he said with a confused expression, as he scanned Ada from top to bottom, it seemed her disguise was working

"I do I'll be joining in three days time, I am here early to settle in" Ada waived her confirmation letter in front of the guard

"Alright miss, you may cross the bridge and you will find someone to help you" he said pointing at the direction of the bridge.

Ada was mesmerized by the beauty of it, the bridge was covered in snow, there were lamps on either side of it, it looked like a passage to heaven, the evening had turned the sky into a beautiful shade of pink, the lamps illuminated the bridge with a soft glow .

Ada stepped onto the bridge, it was soo beautiful , she was looking at her feet as she walked, when suddenly she collided with a wall

A wall? on the bridge? not possible

Ada looked up , she came face to face, with possibly the most handsome man alive, he had icy blue eyes, jet black hair, his nose was straight, and his lips were also straight, such beautiful lips and he had snatched all beauty from them, by keeping them in such a stern line. He was glaring at her, as if she had committed a crime by colliding into him.

"I am sorry " Ada apologized, afterall she was the one looking at her feet while walking

He did not utter a word, just glared at her and left

"Hey you should apologize too! " Ada called after him

But he did not turn, let alone apologize
