SYNOPSIS. ──── ☠ ────
As everyone grows into their own person, one of the main things they wish to have is freedom; both freedom of choice and freedom of life. But freedom never comes easy does it?
Since birth, Alice Foster has had to fight to live another day in the cruel worlds of the 17th and 18th Century, where women were seen as second to the men and were expected to either accompany them or work for them. Through the early years of her life she would find many means to get by, most of which she wasn't proud of. But eventually her choices would lead her to become a maid for the new Governor of Jamaica's young daughter Elizabeth. And although she still worked for a man, Alice would find working for his daughter more enjoyable than first thought.
Through the years of Alice's job and Elizabeth growing up, the two became closer than most. They would come to care for one another and gossip like two sisters late at night. Alice was always the one asked for by Elizabeth, and Alice looked to take care of Elizabeth whenever she could. The two really became like sisters. And as we know, sisters tend to keep each other's secrets.
One secret especially would come to test their trust. A secret that plagued Alice every day. A secret that would become harder to hide when a ship with black sails comes for something in Elizabeth's possession.

Hi all! I didn't originally plan for this book to be made at all, but I watched the POTC films again and I found myself falling into this story and my OC Alice. If I'm honest, I've always had this story somewhere in my head but didn't have the inspiration to do anything about it until now. And yes I know I have published stories nowhere near finished yet, and I did hold off posting this book cause I usually find hyperfixations and create stories from that, only for the hyperfixations to last a few weeks. I feel this one is different though and I'm looking foreword to creating something new and getting back into the swing of things.
I would ask you to be patient with me though as it has been over a year since I've written anything properly so I might be a little rusty at times.
