And Earth spinning gently in the distance, unaware.

Hunk is the first to notice it.

They're travelling at cruise speed again, after clearing an asteroid belt when they pass by a planet.

It's a small sphere of oil-like reds, blues, and whites, almost seems to shine in the light of the Lions eyes.

He thinks it very pretty.

Then he's screaming in the public com.

"What? Who's fighting?"

Of course, Lance is the first to answer him, Hunk is so hyped to be the one telling him this.

"No man, that's Pluto on our left!"

The reaction's immediate, with all humans clamoring over each other while the Alteans look all levels of confused, he also sees Akira do a three-finger gesture in a manner that makes Hunk think of religious people doing the cross, which reminds him Akira is pagan.

Hunk is guilty of slipping with the name thing, which he can't do because they don't want a repeat of planet Fidkigal. But he's got the perfect record keeping the other secret that also came to light with the names.

He watches Lance, still bright eyed from excitement, soften just slightly as he grins at Akira.

"Hey, you haven't taught me that!"

Akira blinks, as though he hadn't realized what he did, then he rubs the back of his neck.

"Just paying my respects I guess"

Lance nods like this is very important information.

"So will you teach me?"

Hunk has to dig his nails on the arm rests in order to keep quiet, it's a good thing the camera only catches his face; he figures Pidge is in a similar conundrum by the way her eyebrows tremble.

"Sure"

Akira sits back just so, allowing them to see his chest, he tucked his pinky and his thumb curling the three other fingers just slightly inwards; he takes the fingers to his lips first, and then does a small upside-down triangle in the middle of his chest. A second later Lance repeats the motion as though it's the most natural thing, wondrous expression as he finishes the motion.

"Pity we won't see planet Venus"

He still has a small smile on his face, probably can't help it when they're this close to home, and Hunk wishes he could take a picture of Akira's reaction.

"I'm sure you'll meet her regardless"

Things are in motion inside Garrison walls, Dr Samuel Holt finds himself the only person immune to the tension present in the Atlas hangar, every other officer stands in tight formation as the doors leading to the main building open to Admiral Wallach, and the man of the hour, this time towed by young woman of imposing stature wearing a red bandana on her hair. He's the first to approach them.

"Captain Valdez"

Leo offers him a smile and a hand shake, before he moves to introduce the woman.

"This is my sister Nyssa Barrera, she's gonna be taking over for me once I finish my mortal businesses"

The woman scoffs and hits him in the back of his head.

"Stop making it sound like you're dying"

Then she turns to him with a much gentler smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Dr Holt, Leo talks very highly of you"

Samuel smiles and shakes the hand she offers him.

"I assume you share his innate knowledge of machines"

Nyssa seems to become shy then, but Leo beams brightly.

"No one I'd trust with the Atlas more than her"

Admiral Wallach takes his leave with a nod to Captain Valdez, and Samuel takes the opportunity to lead the two demigods further inside the hangar.

"A child of Xyrah, you're certain?"

Eight eyes glare at him, still vicious even when captured.

"I would not invoke her name if I wasn't"

That much is true, the name of the primal was not one to be used lightly. And it'd explain why his men were so besotted with the enemy.

"You insinuate she's turned against us"

The ayshee hisses, struggling against their bonds for a second before her eyes go white and her mouth opens.

"It's been written, that the son of the primal shall bend only for the true leader of all Galra"

Their body shakes as they regain control and hiss again, he lets them, leaving the cell with renewed vigor. Of course, she would child a luj, what better to test them than that which they could not resist?

And of course, the child was with Voltron, Zarkon was foolish to obsess with it so loudly, what better way to show all his mistake? What better way for the child to prove its own worth than to fight them tooth and nail?

The luj seemed loyal to the lions, but loyalty could turn toxic if pushed the right way. What would the child do if his pack were in jeopardy?

Ah, but that would mean capturing them all.

And that would mean defeating the humans once and for all. But one particular group was making that particular mission take longer than planned.

He'll have to face them himself.
