Namjoon woke up at the crack of dawn.
It was almost six thirty when he opened his eyes. The summer sun was shining brightly as he looked out the window. the ball of fire so bright that Namjoon had to squint his eyes through brightness to make his way out of their room. Jungkook was peacefully sleeping on the other bed beside him, and Namjoon had tried his best not to accidentally wake him up. With tipsy toes Namjoon walked out of their dorm, cold shivers running down his spine amidst summer's hotness. Bathing and brushing his teeth had taken up almost twenty five minutes and Namjoon was ready to go for a little trip on a Sunday.
When he had opened his eyes, he wasn't willing to get up, but after failed several tries of going to sleep, he figured out it wouldn't hurt to wake up early one day. Nothing planned, but his small bag and his little diary in it Namjoon set out of his without letting anyone know; not that anyone knew him.
When the minute hand on his clock hit 12, Namjoon sat on his bicycled on rode it to the nearest café.
He reached the café in around five minutes. The café was unsurprisingly not filled with people, but low murmurs of everyone had occupied the empty spaces. Namjoon had come here before, only once when Jungkook was excited about winning against Jimin and they had stayed there for almost an hour, with Jungkook doing all the talking about how cool it was winning against every player. Since then the only places Namjoon had went to were the library, hubbs and bubbs and the school garden.
Namjoon took a seat beside the nice looking old lady. He had ordered an iced latte which would come exactly within ten minutes. He took out the book he had brought and started reading it.
The low buzz of the café surrounded him and he felt himself blurring into the background. The strong caffeine smell entered his nostrils and he lifted his head up. Busy employees were taking their daily dose of coffee which would help them stay awake until 11 at night, hushed teenagers his age made their way out of the café, and the serious faced middle aged men and women made him giggle as they took out their orders and ate with the kids.
Smiling, Namjoon down to see his iced latte already at his table. Taking slow sips he read his book in peace and let the fast move around as he sat in the café.
♡♡♡
'This doesn't fit here.'
A black pen in his hand Namjoon frowned at the white page with scribbled lines.
It had been almost an hour since he left the café and he was now sitting at the park which was about two kilometers away from the school. It was hard to write anything since the park was filled with children's screams and laughter which was delightful but irritating at the same time. He gave another frown as he looked around the park.
Getting up Namjoon inhaled a heavy breath and got out of the park.
After walking for approximately ten minutes Namjoon let out tired breath and sat on a bench nearest to the road. There weren't many people where he was sitting, and the environment was calm too; Namjoon felt satisfied as he opened his book once again to read from where he had left off.
His surrounding was calm and he felt his pupils dilating as the sunlight absconded from his silhouette. The green tree above him rustled quietly and made a soft sound as winds played with its leaves. There were no vehicles on this side of the town and Namjoon regretted not coming here before. Though there weren't any vehicles, happy children and hushed teenagers rode their bicycles without Namjoon looking at them, but the quiet sound of the tires turning reached his ears and made its own music.
