Namjoon looked at the sky.
It was a bright blue with the sun in the right in the middle; unlike how kids used to draw it, a few birds were flying high, and to Namjoon it looked as if they were having a competition. As if they were fighting for dominance. Namjoon sighed as his pupils dilated when they came in contact with brightness. The cool breezes were no longer there and Namjoon felt tired as he looked at the wind deprived ground resting in front of him. Yesterday's light rainfall had turned into heavy rainfall and Seokjin and Namjoon had to stay under the tree for almost two hours.
Those two hours had been spent surprisingly easily, with the two of them not sparing each other's glances. For almost half an hour Namjoon had been staring at the insect which was slowly crawling its way home until he looked at Seokjin dozing off beside him. The younger had smiled to himself as he straightened his back and reclined himself on the bark of the tree. The older rested his head on Namjoon's shoulder unconsciously and let sleep envelope as rain poured down. Namjoon had closed his eyes as well; and the next hour went with the two of them sleeping beside each other as the nature showered its tears on the green ball which lied below it.
After two hours the rain had finally stopped, and the place reeked of petrichor. Namjoon had blinked his eyes open, not quite realizing that he had fallen asleep. Waking up Seokjin was a hard task, since the latter was a deep sleeper and was not willing to wake up. After frantically shaking Seokjin the older had finally woken up; half embarrassed about the fact that he had fallen asleep on Namjoon's shoulder and half angry about the fact that he had simply fallen asleep.
The both of them had walked down the lonely alley without speaking a word, and when they reached the café Seokjin had looked at Namjoon and had said,
'I don't have a bicycle,'
'I haven't brought my wallet either,'
'My legs are paining too,'
'I won't mind giving you a ride, if that's what you're asking.' Namjoon had said as he saw the older getting uneasy.
Seokjin muttered a low thanks and the two of them sat on Namjoon's bicycle. The ride to their school was short and awkward considering that the both were literally huddled against each other. Seokjin's hand were becoming sweaty as he placed them on Namjoon's shoulder.
'You're tickling me!'
'Sorry! My hands are sweaty.'
'We might fall!'
Seokjin frowned and kept his hand on his seat.
After reaching the school the two of them had parted their ways, both of their outfits drenched in rainfall. Though yesterday was full of unexpected stuff; Namjoon could say he enjoyed it.
♡♡♡
Namjoon watched Jungkook hit the ball furiously.
The soft round ball hit the net which was followed by a loud curse. The rest of his classmates were busy talking, playing, jumping and doing something which didn't involve sitting. While here Namjoon was; sitting on the bench which had now turned hot due to the sun which was shining brightly overhead. It wasn't as if he didn't want to do anything productive, he just couldn't do it. Being physically active was never really his thing despite riding his bike with ease for so many years.
Riding his bike had always been easy. The first ever bike he had gotten was a gift from his parents, when he was four years old. Though the memory was now faint, he still remembered the laughter of his parents when the images flashed in his mind of him riding the bicycle with his dad behind him.
