Chapter 9: Army's birthday

Aloha woke up to his phone ringing. As drowsy as Aloha is when it's morning, he hangs up and continues to go back to sleep. Until it suddenly began to ring again.

"Erghh... Why so early..." Aloha grumbles trying to pick up the phone.

"Aloha? Are you still at Army's?" Diver asks from behind the phone.

"Yeah. Did you have to call me so early in the morning though? I am tiredd." Army groans.

"Dude, it's 11:00AM." Diver grunts.

"Exactlyy." Aloha mumbles.

"Alright, I'm fine with you staying with him for however long. That just means the place is all to myself heheh, but can you please cleanup your messes whenever you leave? It's annoying." Diver says irritated.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. I'll make sure to do that next time. Bye see ya, byee." Aloha grumbles once again about to hangup.

"Wait! Make sure to say happy birthday to Army for me, will ya? I'm sure you have lots planned for you two lovebirds." Diver snickers before hanging up.

"Yeah, very funny... wait what-" Aloha pauses.

Aloha immediately jumps out of bed, and looks through Army's drawers.

'I knew he had one in here...' Aloha thinks to himself.

Aloha continues searching, before stumbling upon the item.

'Aha!' His calendar! Aloha grins proudly. 'Let's take a look shall we?'

'... Shit.'

Aloha rushes into the living room, and decides to get ready to go outside. Lacing up his shoes and putting his coat on.

'I have to get him a present! I totally forgot about his birthday today, damnit!' Aloha worries to himself.

A few minutes later Army arrives home.

"Aloha? Aloha? Where are you?" Army yells. 'Hmm, maybe he went into town.'

"Man, I don't know what to give him..." Aloha groans aloud. "What would someone like Army want..."

"Hey, you need any help? You seem to be thinking veery hard!" A blue inkling shows up.

"Goggles? What are you doing here?" Aloha asks.

"I like to check out all the cool shops for fun. I already wasted all my spending money though waah." Goggles fake sobs.

"How'd you even get money?" Aloha questions.

"Rider!!" Goggles smiles.

"Of course that moron gave you cash... Alright here how about this, since you spent all your money already I will give you 20 dollars more. Only if you promise to help me pick out a present for a certain inkling." Aloha bargains.

"Hmm... a gift you say? I suppose I'll lend my services." Goggles excitedly nods.

Hours of shopping later, Aloha and Goggles finally make it to the last stop. Looking for the perfect gift was no easy task, especially due to Aloha unsure of what the orange inkling wanted.

"Hmm what about we just buy them a big box of chocolates?!" Goggles asks.

"You know Goggles that might actually work. Let's go in!" Aloha agrees leading Goggles into the candy shop.

Aloha and Goggles begin to look through the sections. Candy galore. Finally finding what they needed, Aloha takes the box of chocolates off the shelf.
