"Pshyuuuuuu..."

Iris heard sound of arrow and she heard that it was also hit on something.

She screamed, "Duke... what is that?"

"Hmmm, no, nothing. Hold on to me tight, Princess."

Then, not long after that, Iris felt something liquid and sticky touched her. The bridge was shaking more as well.

"Duke, what is it? Is that blood? Were you hit?"

"We will arrive soon to the end of bridge. Just focus on holding to me, Princess. Trust me."

Felix in the other end of the cliff shooting his arrow to the Mana he tracked. But a little late. The arrow hit Iowyrthe first. A fight broke in the side of the cliff. The shadow warrior fought the undead army. No Marquis Kvasir this time, but Metuselah became their advantage. He cast out a magic force which release the undead spells. They guarded in the other side of Allende bridge so no one touch the bridge. It would be dangerous if they damaged the bridge.

Felix focused on keeping no arrow touch Iowyrthe or Iris on the bridge. He knew the position of the shooter once they released the arrow. But they kept moving and it became hard to track for Felix. Luckily, he could shoot most of the arrow from the enemy.

Suddenly, a pack of flying beast was released from the woods. They were shocked. They have ensured that the woods were empty only to find that there's beast and undead army attacking them at the end point.

Reading the situation, Iowyrthe was rushing his steps, made the bridge shaky. Iris was trembling holding him.

"It is alright, Princess. Just trust me. Hold on to me. We will reach the end soon."

Many flying beasts closing in to them. Some of the beast was fool enough to pass the magic barrier. But some of them started targeting Iowyrthe and Iris. Iowyrthe ducked to avoid it. He decided to ignore them all and trust his knights and warriors to take care of it.

Seeing that, Nicholas, Nicholos, and some of the Callavan Knights changed their weapon to bow and arrow. He focused on the flying beasts and left the undead army to Metuselah and other warriors. Felix also helped him to shoot the flying beasts.

Iowyrthe and Iris was closing in. Iris started to tear up silently. She was really confused. She didn't know the situation as her eyes was covered. What she can do was to hold on to Iowyrthe and trust him. The less she trusts him, the more burden she become. In this 30 year of life in Iris body, this was the biggest fears she has.

Iowyrthe sensed her fears, he thought this was the exact time that he should gain her trust. If he can take her safely to the other side of cliff and enter the magic barrier, he believed Princess's will warm up to him. He will keep on going. He gritted his teeth and move one step at a time.

Finally, Iowyrthe and Iris reached the end of the bridge.

"Princess Iris, wait here. Don't open your eyes." Iris nodded upon hearing it.

Right in front of the magic barrier he stopped the time. The flying beasts stopped mid-air. There's also an arrow aimed right to their direction. Seeing the beasts stopped a man crept in the woods, retreated. It was Ernesti. Iowyrthe then released the time-pause. The beast started to crashed each other chaotically. Iowyrthe caught the arrow and snapped it in two.

He then took Iris inside the magic barrier.

"Now we are safe, Princess."

Iowyrthe collapsed to the ground.
