IT'S A TRAP (JENNIE AND MARK FANFIC)

CHAPTER 2

"Nayeon-ah, I have something to tell you", I called my best friend as soon as Mark and dad leave the house for an important meeting.

"Wait. It feels like something important. Hmm, should we meet outside? I have to do shopping also. At our usual place", She suggested.

"Okay then. We meet there", I said and straight, grabbed my handbag, and drive to the mall we usually go to. I wait for Nayeon at the cafe.

"Sorry I'm late", Nayeon approached as soon as she saw me.

"No, it's fine. You're not that late. Do you want to order something?", I asked her.

"Wait, I will order first", She said and come back to me after she's done with her drink.

"Okay, now tell me what's so important?", She asked me curiously. I sighed.

"I'm getting married", I replied simply. She looks at me with her wide-open eyes.

"What?! Maybe your age suit you to get married but with whom? I mean, I know you didn't have a boyfriend right now or someone you were close to. Jennie, you rejected literally every guy at our campus. Who's that lucky guy to make you agree to something that is not a joke at all?", Nayeon asked me. Her face was shocked, but at the same time, it was full of curiosity.

"Mark. Mark Tuan. I didn't know much about him. He is the son of one of my parent's friends", I said.

"Mark Tuan-Mark Tuan- Why this name is so familiar to me? Wait! Do you mean this Mark Tuan?", She said and showed me her phone. I looked at the pictures and nodded.

"Yes, he is. But how did you know him?", I asked.

"Jennie, what are doing in your life actually? This guy is so popular. He is a millionaire. He knows how the business industry work", She told me.

"You know that I didn't care about a guy at all after what happened. I just care about myself", I said.

"Hahaha Jennie, that's so you. So, how about meeting with your future husband?", She asked me curiously.

"Hmm, just fine", I said.

"How he looks?", She asked me.

"Quite handsome, but suspicious", I said and just try to remember him this afternoon.

"You're so lucky. You know that every girl wants to be his girlfriend. But you, you become his wife. He is lucky too, to have someone that rejected every guy on the campus haha", She said and laughed.

"By the way, you agree with the marriage?", She added.

"Yes, I am. At first, I wanted to refuse it. But, I just think for a moment. You know that I'm not getting flutter with any guy. It's doesn't mean I'm a lesbian or something. But I just don't feel to date, anyone. It will be a problem for me because my parents always mention marriage to me. But since someone offers himself to be my husband, so I agree with that. Plus, his late parents want me to be their daughter. It didn't bad at all", I explained.

"Yeah, it doesn't look bad at all. Mark is rich. You don't have to think about your finances after getting married to him. He is handsome. It's not so bad looking at his face every day", She said and keep listing.

"Hey, you know I'm not that kind of person. I have everything already. Being rich, being popular, being good-looking. But for sure, did something like this will make us as humans get our forever happiness? I'm struggling enough to get that happiness. I know that getting married to him is not what I want but like always, I always think about my parents' happiness. If they're happy, I will be happy", I said. Nayeon smile.
