Recap:

"Let's just hope that it does not take too long," Steve answered, looking at her with crossed arms.

Not once during the two-hour flight back to New York did Peitho move a muscle. She just sat there, quiet as a mouse, with her hands behind her back, staring out into space. Everyone else was too tired to strike up a conversation with her. Landing on the compound's helipad, it was already well into the wee hours, and the heroes just wanted to drag themselves to bed, but someone had to make sure that the new addition to the compound got a room. A task that Wanda decided she would shoulder. As the team was loading out of the jet and into the building, Wanda approached the mutant.

"Hello. My name's Wanda. What's your name?" She crouched down to the woman's eye level.

"Peitho, ma'am," Peitho answered, looking to the floor. Wanda frowned at her.

"Then I'm the Scarlet Witch." As soon as the words left her mouth, Peitho's eyes shot up to meet Wanda's before she could catch herself. When she didn't find the threat she expected in the older woman's eyes, her head tilted, brows knitting together.

"You are allowed to ask questions, you know?" Wanda assured her with a raised eyebrow and a kind smile.

"You were one of Strucker's, ma'am?" The mutant asked quietly, searching Wanda's face.

"Yes, I was, but I got out. What's your real name? Not the one they gave you." The mutant thought for a long while before answering. She didn't remember her name, just her title.

"Reyna, if I remember correctly, ma'am," she decided finally.

"Okay. Hello Reyna. Let's make sure you get a place to sleep. Come on." Wanda stood up and held out her hand for the mutant to take, but she had already placed her hands behind her back, waiting patiently for Wanda to lead the way.

"You are not there anymore. You can relax. None of us are going to hurt you." Reyna looked as if Wanda had grown another head, but slowly she let go of her arms and reached for Wanda's invitation. The two women walked out of the jet and into the cold night air. They made their way through the compound, Wanda giving Reyna a small tour of the place as they went along. After not too long, they reached Reyna's soon-to-be room.

"Here we are. It hasn't been decorated yet, but it will do for now." Wanda opened the door that revealed a rather big room with plane gray walls, a queen-sized bed with a few pillows and a duvet, bedside tables, a desk, walk-in closet, bathroom, and flatscreen TV. Reyna, who still held Wanda's hand, gave it a little squeeze, silently asking for permission to talk. Wanda kept telling her to speak as she wanted, but to no avail. The older woman smiled and nodded, giving the younger the go-ahead.

"Where do I sleep, ma'am?" She asked, searching the room for chains or anything that resembled her prior sleeping setup. The formalities would not go away either. She saw Wanda as a superior, and she would need a lot of time to get comfortable enough around her and the team to realize that they were her equals.

"In the bed. Did you not have a bed at that place?" Wanda raised an eyebrow.

"They haven't shown you the pictures they took, have they, ma'am?" Reyna asked, looking back at Wanda.

"No, we're going to have a meeting in the morning. It'll probably come up then. Let's get you settled in. I'll fetch you some clothes while you familiarize yourself with the room. If you ever wonder about anything or need me or anyone else to come here, just ask FRIDAY. She'll help you. I'll be back in about ten minutes, okay?" Wanda gave Reyna's hand a little squeeze before letting go and walking away down the hallway toward her room.
