The travellers had been sailing for three days, they had separate boats and Karl followed Dream through the unnaturally calm waters.

Karl was still guilty for abandoning his fiancé(s), he knew that Sapnap would be so alone, with George barely being conscious most of the time.

Dream was smiling under his mask though, he kept Karl from zoning out in his thoughts and kept his friend from feeling too overwhelmed with guilt. He was good friend, Karl though, he could trust Dream.

A few hours later, a large silhouette appeared in the far distance, it was a tall mountain that had messy, thin structures built on top of it, Dream's grin widened while Karl's was small and regretful.

Dream and Karl finally arrived at the large mountain that was above their main base, Dream sighed bittersweetly from the memories he had here, some were good, most of them were bad.

The two got out of their boats and stepped onto the familiar stone island, Karl seemed uneasy while Dream just continued grinning, he was excited to finally help achieve peace. Fully.

Perhaps his idea of piece was warped. After all, hadn't he traumatized Tommy and most of the server? He had told Karl it was the 'dragon's advice', but Karl had a hard time believing that, after all, why would a dragon- that was known to be kind- order their hybrid around to traumatize children? He didn't understand it.

Dream and Karl walked around the island before stopping beside a side that had oak plank pillars and large amounts of placed water, Karl sighed.

"Where's the elevator again? It's been awhile since I was here," Karl asked sheepishly, he rubbed the back of his head a bit but kept walking, "It's alright, it's been awhile since I was here too," Dream responded with a smaller smile.

They walked around the tall mountain for an hour, when Dream finally saw the familiar flat stone side of the mountain with a thin waterfall beside it, Dream smiled before running towards it.

"Do you have a pickaxe on you?" Dream asked Karl who was running up to him, Karl opened his inventory and pulled out a shiny netherite pickaxe, "Yes, is this good?" Karl asked, Dream nodded eagerly and took the pickaxe and mined into the smooth wall.

A cloud of dust came out of the wall causing Karl to start coughing, Dream looked at him with concern before Karl gave him a thumbs up, signalling that he was okay.

Dream gave Karl his pickaxe back and they walked through the doorway that Dream mined away, they entered the large stone room and smiled from the familiarity.

"The elevator still works right? You guys didn't do something to the redstone?" Dream asked suspiciously, Karl shrugged, "I can't remember but I don't think so," Karl told Dream.

Dream walked over the lever and flicked it, they both heard the redstone creakily activate and start powering up, dust rained from the ceiling and Dream laughed in surprise.

"I'm surprised it still works!" Dream said happily, "I though the redstone would've faded back into the stone by now." He added, Karl nodded and the two walked inside and took the elevator down, "So? What do we need to do?" Karl asked Dream as the elevator slowly began to move down.

"Head to the Syndicate room, they have a lot of security but we'll be able to easily get past it all," Dream said, "I have an idea of where it is but we will need Eyes of Ender," Dream added.

Karl nodded, the voice in his head was still chanting about 'finding the Syndicate' and 'things are not as they seem', "Alright, sounds easy enough. Anything else?" Karl asked, ignoring the voice.
