(No pov)

Dream didn't know what to do as Unreality held him up by the throat, over the edge of the island. He registered Unreality speaking, Karl yelling for him to 'not do it'(?), and Unreality smiling evilly at him.

Dream was planning on what to do (free himself, grab onto the edge(?), get back onto the island and kick Unreality into the void.), when he spotted someone new in the distance, but before he could look closer at them, Unreality threw him over the edge.

He heard Karl's scream and yells of shock, but they disappeared as he fell farther and farther away. His wings flew out and tried lifting him up on instinct, but the whipping air tore through them and didn't save him.

So he fell.

The infinite nothingness of the void haunted his field of vision as the island became a tiny speck in his eyes before nothing at all. He breathed heavily as the stars twinkled mockingly at him.

Everything was mocking him, he could feel the air laughing against his skin, the stars reminded him of his failures, the void closed around him and whispered it into his ear.

He hated the feeling of falling and falling with nothing to catch you. He hated the feeling of everything laughing and mocking him. He hated it all- but there was nothing he could do.

Huh. He thought to himself. So this is what people mad. He closed his eyes with a deep breath before that air was also ripped away from him, maybe he could pass the time by thinking about the happier times.

So he did, he thought about learning to fly and baking with his sister. He thought about the times where they'd read together, he thought about everything he did with her until they lost each other.

He remembered meeting the SMP and befriending them all, he remembered how much Tommy reminded him of Drista and how they created Church Prime together. He remembered the manhunts and the duels, he remembered the words of kindness he'd received throughout it all.

But there was nothing he could do now, he was just a useless dragon falling through the void with no wings. So, he opened his eyes to embrace the disappointments he had.

And then he saw it.

Something was blotting out the stars, and it was getting bigger and bigger.

Dream squinted at it and noticed it wasn't a thing, it was a person. He gasped to himself and reached up to them through a hazy mind, he didn't seem to recognize that they were far away rather than being right by him.

Dream's arm relaxed to right by him as he let the void sink in again, he couldn't get out and that person was probably thrown in as well. He closed his eyes again and let himself fall farther and farther again.

He then felt something grab his cloak and pull him up, he gasped with shock as he opened his eyes and recognized who had saved him.

"Drista?" He said shocked, she grinned at him, "Hold on, brother! I'm getting you out of here." She said.

-On the island-

Karl watched in shock as someone flew over the edge, only to fly back over seconds later and drop something in the edge, the person landed a few blocks away but dusted themself off quickly.

Karl watched in shock as the person rushed towards the other person and shook them while saying, "Wake up, wake up!" and "Gods, I know for a fact I wasn't too late." The other person soon jolted up and burst into a coughing fit.

"Dr- Drista?" Dream asked weakly, the new person- Drista stood up and cheered for herself before throwing herself into Dream's arms. "I missed you." Dream whispered as he returned it.
