On the way to the second period, Keyon stopped by Baylor's locker to ask how his date with Layla went yesterday. Layla was his girlfriend, but she lived out of state. She planned on moving with Baylor soon. "I'm just ready for these months to pass by. I get frustrated not seeing her when I want to."Baylor said, slamming his locker door. Kelsi and Cassie passed by them and waved they were two of the top female athletes in the school.
"Should have asked Kelsi for that homework from 1st period."Baylor said
"What's going on, bro?"Keyon asked
"You know the regular me and pops bumping heads. I can't wait to move out."Baylor said
"You know I feel that. Don't let him keep you from succeeding. Brush it off and keep pushing."Keyon said
"Thanks bro", Baylor said
After school, Caleb and Skyler were waiting for Keyon and Baylor to meet up. They wanted to go to the skate park since there was no practice today. Baylor was awesome at skate boarding he taught Keyon and Skyler how to. Caleb usually comes just to hang out until Kelsi needs a ride from practice. Kelsi is his best friend.
The girls of the friend group Kelsi, Reign , Emily, and Cassie usually meet up with the guys at Madison Pepper Grill. It was their favorite spot since freshman year. They were all juniors in college now.
"I'm thinking about asking Emily to homecoming."Caleb said to Skyler they were walking towards the skate park
"That sounds cool. I think she would like that."Skyler said
'I mean, we hang out all the time."Caleb said
"Oh, so you tryna make her your girl too."Skyler said
"No, just wanted to go with someone I'm cool with."Caleb said
"Well, why didn't you just ask Kelsi."Skyler said
"She isn't going. She has a dance recital. "Caleb said
At Madison Pepper Grill, they ordered endless wing and fries with the special pepper sauce. Emily and Cassie were running late, but Kelsi and Reign were there. Reign was dating Keyon they have been dating for 3 years. Keyon first tattoo was Reign's initials he got it last year for their second anniversary. His friends thought it wasn't a smart choice. People change and grow sometimes apart from the people they love. He didn't care, though he said that Reign would be his wife after they graduate college. Reign has been planning their anniversary surprise for months, and it was coming up.
"I need help on this."Kelsi said, pointing to a booklet
"You are trying to get into the Summer program."Reign said
"It's two choices, dance or theater. I'll be happy with either."Kelsi said
"I know you'll get in."Reign said
Reign looked over at Keyon and could tell he was a bit anxious. He was looking around and barely eating. He recently got injured and pretends he isn't in pain when he is. She looked at him until he noticed she was. He smiled at her and said, "Don't worry."
"Do you need pain meds?"Reign asked
He said no as the guys sat at the table after coming from the restroom. Emily and Cassie arrived right on time because the waitress were bringing their drinks and another round of food to the table.
"Did you order the strawberry lemonade for me?"Emily asked
"Yes, I did."Reign replied
"I got you the blueberry blast, Cassie."Skyler said
"Thanks, baby."Cassie said, kissing Skyler.
Cassie and Skyler have been dating for 2 years.
"When is Layla coming, Baylor?"Emily asked
Cassie kicked her under the table and gave her the "don't ask that question look." Everyone could tell Baylor was moody lately. Emily wasn't an emotionally aware person. The girls would often have to get her in check.
"Summer."Baylor replied
Caleb and Kelsi had plans together after everyone was done hanging out. She wanted to practice dance and needed a partner. What better person to practice with if not your best friend?
"Emily, if you want a ride, I can take you home."Caleb said
"Of course I do."Emily said
Caleb , Kelsi, and Emily finished up their food and drinks and said their goodbyes to everyone. Baylor said he'll pay for everything, but Keyon offered to pay half. Keyon always looked out for Baylor like a brother. Reign didn't feel like going home yet,  so she went over to Keyon's house. Keyon & his father lived together,  but he plans to move as soon as he saves enough money. Reign changed her school pants and put on a pair of Keyon's boxers. "You might as well move in. I have a lot of your clothes here."Keyon said, pulling Reign on top of his bed, tickling her on her waist line. She released a huge laugh and bit her bottom lip. He started kissing her and rubbing on her right thigh.
He stopped himself and started to do homework before it got too late. Reign looked at her practice schedule in her phone and realized her next full free day was Friday. Keyon schedule was on his calendar on the wall. She walked over to it and saw his free days were Wednesday and Friday. "We'll make time. I promise Reign. "Keyon said after noticing her looking at the calendar. Reign thought Keyon always knew what to say and do to reassure her.......
