Chapter 7

Sometimes, Keyon , Reign , Cassie, and Skyler would do double dates. But since Layla moved there , it has become a triple date. " It's a new tradition."Reign said, handing Layla the bowling ball. They decided to do couples bowling. It was about 3 weeks left for summer break, and Caleb and Kelsi only had a week left at their internships. Cassie walked out the bowling alley dramatically, and Skyler followed.
" What's wrong, baby?"Skyler asked.
" They cut some of my aid. I don't know how I'll afford books the first semester."Cassie answered.
" No worries, Cas, I'll help you."Skyler said.
Cassie hugged Skyler and went back into the bowling alley, holding his hand. They were almost to the lane when Skyler whispered, " Do you want to go back to my place?" Cassie said yes, and they both said their goodbyes to everyone. As Cassie laid her head on Skyler's lap, he said , " You can just calculate how much it will be, and I'll take care of it."Skyler said.
Cassie smiled and puckered up for a kiss. Skyler leans over and plants a sloppy kiss on her. " You're so nasty!"Cassie said, wiping her lips.
" You love it. Come here."Skyler said, walking to his bedroom. Cassie jumped in front of him and did a silly dance, then ran in his bedroom. Skyler laughed as he realized she locked the bedroom door. The goofiness was one of the things that attracted Skyler to her. Before they met, he was a very calculated person. He was still that guy but with a little more ease thanks to Cassie. " I have something for you. I had to save up for it and I hope you like it."Skyler said, handing Cassie a black box.
Cassie eyes enlarged when she opened the box. " Oh my God! Skyler, this is beautiful."Cassie said, touching the gift. It was a gold necklace with a heart-shaped charm.

The group planned a trip before the semester started. Although Caleb and Kelsi didn't talk about what happened at the last kickback. They still communicated and had lunch together every day at the internship. Caleb was serious about his future and wasn't going to allow anything to sabotage it. Kelsi respected the fact that he wanted to focus on the internship. Reign found an awesome beach house that was spacious enough for the group. Everyone was eager to go to the beach once everyone arrived. Emily was chatting with Cassie about wanting alone time with Caleb. She tried to keep the conversation on the low, but Reign overheard it. She didn't, but in , instead, she just continued to walk towards the water. Kelsi was already in the water with Layla talking about how their summer has been so far. The guys were in a circle talking about random things. " There's a bar farther down. I'll like to see what kind of drinks they have later."Reign said. Kelsi and Layla agreed. The humidity quickly drained everyone. They only spent a few hours at the beach before everyone decided to go back to the beach house.
" I'm glad every couple has their own bathroom. Waiting for a shower between 9 people sounds like hell."Layla said.
" Kelsi , Emily, and Caleb still have to share a bathroom. But you are right it's better than all 9 of us sharing one."Baylor said.
The beach house had a game room, and of course, the guys went straight there after their showers. Emily walked down the stairs wearing a short black dress with black heels on . " Are you coming out tonight?"Emily asked Kelsi since she was the only other single female there. They weren't as close as they were before the Caleb situation. Kelsi didn't tell anyone about it, but she didn't want to put herself in an uncomfortable situation.
" You coming, Kelsi."Caleb said.
" No Reign & I are going to hang out for a little."Kelsi said.
" Baylor ,Layla & Cassie are going too."Caleb said.
" I just want to relax inside tonight."Kelsi said.
Caleb shrugged his shoulders & went out the door.
