"Alright class" Ms. Wright began "There is no warm up today so just get to work"
The class shuffled to there cupboards and sowing machines. I was just grabbing my fabric and stuffing when I saw purple out the side of my eye. Lauren."Hey" I said as I sauntered over to the sowing machine where lauren was working.
"Hey" she said, looking a bit flustered.
"What's wrong?" I asked
"I can't get the damn cloth to go under the needle" she hissed. So adorable
"Here" I said taking it from her. "See the problem is, is that you're not being patient enough. You have to be gentle, just glide it right through slowing"
She watched me as I demonstrated.
"Thank you" she said smiling.
"Anytime. Hey you have anything going on today? How about I take you out. Just as friends, of course."
"Um ok. Where are we gonna go?"
"I'll let you know. Just meet me on the junction bus after school."
"Ok" she started as her raya walked over.
"Marley!" She said ecstatically. "Bring that ass here" she said rubbing all over my bottom.
"You're you freaky" I said blushing. I pushed her gently against the wall. "What did I tell you about that flirting shit? Keep it up and I will fuck you" I whispered in her ear, jokingly.
"Oh please do" she said with that evil grin of hers. Every since ninth grade Raya and I have always been flirting with each other. I mean seriously, she is fucking sexy. Brown skinned with those hazel eyes. And boy her body. Just so damn curvy. I've always wanted to fuck her and I knew she wanted me too but we never got the chance. Either she was in a relationship or I was. And I don't believe in cheating. And besides, she and Lauren was attached at the hip. I could never get her alone.
I hadn't noticed that lauren had wondered back to her seat. "So we're good for today"? I shouted to her
"Yep, see then" she said without even looking up. Strange.

"So welcome to crazy mocha", I bellowed to Lauren. "Only the greatest coffee house in the world"
"Yea I've never been here" she said smiling nervously.
"Good. Now I get to be the person to show this awesomeness"
We walked up to the counter to began ordering.
"Hey sara, just the usual for me, and what would you like Lauren?
"Ummm" she said eying the menu
"Choose wisely. This is your first time. Make it special"
"I don't know, I'm so bad with decisions" she said smacking her forehead. "You pick."
"Sara give her the Carmel chocolate latte"
And to lauren: "you're gonna love this" I said smiling excited."Ok that'll be 7.49" sara said, handing us our cups. I lifted the lid off of mine and inhaled.
"Sara, you know me so well. I love you". I said, laughing.
"Anything for my favorite customer". We said goodbye and headed to our seats.
"Okay you're about to take your first sip of God's coffee. Describe the experience" I said smiling. She sipped. Looked at me in disbelief.
"What?" I said worried.
"I think I just discovered the purpose of life." She said. I laughed.
"What did I say?" We both smiled at each other.
"I didn't know you and Raya were friends" she said.
"Oh we're really not. Just school buds"
"Well you guys sure looked like more than just buds"
"What does that mean?" I asked with a daring smile.
"You guys look like you just wanna tear each other's clothes off" she said smiling.
"Oh you know how Raya can be. Very sexual that one. But yea we're just buds, but that is one piece of ass I'd like to have" i said jokingly
"Ok" sip. "How do you know sara?"
"To be honest, we hooked up once at some pitt party."
"Wow, you get around" she said with a laugh.
"Not really."

"Okay, now I know you're mad that I dragged you out of bed at one in the morning, but I had to show you this."It was late September and fall was beginning to creep in. Lauren and I had developed quite the friendship, hanging out at least once a week. And when we weren't together, we were texting and snapchatting each other. Now here we are at the baseball field on the west side.
"Ok this better be good" she said fake irritated. I began to climb the fence that lead to the diamond.
"Are you serious? What if we get caught?"
"We won't. Promise" I reassured. She began to climb. When we were over the fence, I guided her to the center of the field and layed down in the dirt on my back after placing a blanket down. She layed next to me.
"Now look up" I started. "What do you see?"
"I don't know. The dark sky, the moon, stars." She said quietly.
"Close. That lauren, is the infinity. Those stars and that sky stretches on for miles, my friend. These are not just placements in the sky. We are staring at an infinite world. Isn't it beautiful?"
"Wow, it is. I never thought of it like that." She said turning her head to me. "You have a beautiful mind, Marley."
We sat for a while in silence, enjoying the sight. "Michael and I broke up" she said quietly.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry to hear that. When? Are you okay?"
"A couple of weeks ago and yes I'm fine"
"Why are you telling me this now?" She looked at me and that's when I knew. That we weren't just friends anymore. I've pretty much have had a crush on her since day one. I don't know what it is about her, she's just so perfect to me. Too bad I was too scared to say so.
"Do you like Raya?" She asked, throwing me off guard.
"No, why would you think that?"
"You guys are always flirting and stuff and I just kind of assumed you guys are into each other".
"Don't get me wrong, she's cool and stuff but, I Don't like her like that. And besides, I like someone else."
"Which brings me to my next question" she began. "Do you like me?" I didn't answer for a while. My stomach was in knots
"I think you already know." I whispered
"I want to hear you say it"
"Okay, I like you a lot actually" I said.
"Me too".
"What?" I asked
" I mean I like you too. A lot actually" she said laughing. We sat in silence again.
"Can you take me home now, my mom I gonna notice I'm missing soon"
"Wait" I started a bit angry. "That's it, we're not gonna talk about this"
"Look, Marley I like you. I really do and I want a relationship with you. Just not yet. Michael and I just broke up. Im not ready to hop in another relationship right away. And I don't want to hurt you. And besides we barely know each other. Let's just take it slow. I don't want to hurt you"
"Cool, no worries" I said a bit disappointed. But was glad she wanted to take it slow. I was scared as hell. I hadn't been with anyone since Danielle and that ended bad. We headed home.
