I was in my bed, half asleep when I heard. Knock at the door. I waited to see if someone else would answer but sure enough, I heard the knock again. I climbed down the 2 flights of stairs, calling out to see if anyone was home. No answer.
"Who is it?" I yelled at the door.
"It's me, bitch, open up" Taylor It was. I opened the door and was assaulted by the cold air. It was mid November and it was starting to feel like it.
"Damn, I was sleep. I didn't know you were coming over. Why didnt you call me?: I asked her once she stepped inside.
"You don't remember?"
"What?" I asked confused
"We were supposed to be figuring out the stage lay out for the play, remember?"
"Oh shit, I seriously forgot, yea come on." I said motioning toward the kitchen.
"You want something?" I asked opening the fridge
"You know damn well I want something to eat. I don't know why you even asked" she said laughing.
"Well excuse me, for being nice and asking" I said joking. I grabbed and bag of pizza rolls and popped them in on a plate and in the microwave. While waiting we chatted about this and that.
"What happened to that girl you were seeing?" She asked
"Nothing. We just stopped talking" I said looking down. It had been a while since that whole blow out, but even now, I still found her crossing my mind more often than not.
"How come? When did this happen?" She asked.
"We've been over. And she went back to her ex so..yea" I mumbled.
"Damn, I'm sorry bro." She said placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Girl, don't go all soft on me. I'm cool."
"Yea, I know." The microwave beeped. We grabbed some swiss rolls and chips and headed to my room.

"We should have the steps next to the Curtain so that they can exit the scenes and not look awkward." Taylor saidTaylor and I are on student council. Me being the secretary and she the twelfth grade representative. The art director at our school asked if she could get help from the student council with the play and surprise surprise, ms. Detman had nominated us to run it.
"Yea, yea. That makes sense. So it's settled. We did it!" I screamed in excitement. It was almost ten and my brain hurt from thinking too much.
"Ok, well I'm going home. I still got homework to do." She announced getting up.
"Oh ok, need a ride?"
"Naw, I'll walk."
"Ok, well be safe." I said hugging her goodbye.

"Okay. So we need to figure out who's doing what on which day" Ms. Detman started.
"I can help with ushering the students on stage" James called out.
"I'll do stage set up" Samantha said.
One by one, they called out what they would be doing in the play. Except for me. I was pretty objective with the whole situation.
"Marley, you're the last one. What are you doing?" Ms. Detman asked
"I really don't care" I answered.
"How about security duty? You can make sure the kids are practicing while they aren't on with us."
