Just Not Good Enough- LH *Completed*

Chapter 13

"What happened to Aleisha?" Liz asks Luke.

"Well..." Luke starts but trails off.

"Well what?" Liz replies.

"We may have broken up?" Luke says but it comes out as a question.

"Yes!" Liz squeals excitedly and comes towards me.  "Welcome to the family!"

"Mum, I'm not asking her yet," Luke replies.

"Of course not! I mean you're too young to be getting married and it's illegal anyway," Liz exclaims.

"Mum," Luke groans. "I mean I'm not asking her to be my girlfriend yet."

"Why not?!" Liz exclaims.

"I'm going on tour next week, I need to set my priorities," he replies and whilst I understand where he's coming from, I can't help that my stomach sinks a little bit.

"But it's Anna," Liz whines like a child. "I've been waiting for this since I met her."

By this point I was bright red, like a tomato.

"I know," Luke replies. "It'll just be harder to leave her behind if I ask her."

That's when I decide to leave the room. I was on the verge of tears and realizing how much I'll miss him when he's gone. 

"Anna!" Luke calls and runs out after me. "I didn't mean it like that!"

"I  know," I mumble quietly and he brings me in for a hug.

"I like you so much, it's just gonna be hectic for the next couple of months," he says and I nod against his chest.

"I really like you too and I understand that your career comes first. I just need to remind myself that you aren't Luke Hemmings the boy who used to sleep with his stuffed penguin in case he had night mares anymore. Your Luke Hemmings the vocalist for the hot shot band 5 Seconds of Summer," I say quietly to him.

"I'll always be Luke is a penguin, it's just a part time role now," Luke says chuckling and kisses my head. Suddenly I hear a click and we pull away from our hug to see Liz with her phone out.

"Mum," Luke groans and Liz smirks at him.

"It was too cute of a scene not to capture," she says and Luke just looks down at me and I smirk at him.

"Just let her keep it, you'll survive and it'll make her happy," I say and Luke looks defeated. He just waves at his mum and she squeals in excitement before running out of the room.

"No posting it online!" Luke says.

"No promises!" she replies and Luke sighs. Next thing we know, our phones both ding upstairs.

"Mum!" Luke groans before heading back into the kitchen to get our bowls of icecream.

"Luke," she mocks him from the dining table. He grabs our bowls of icecream and two spoons before handing one to me, taking my hand and tugging me out of the room and upstairs.

"You know I don't need you leading me everywhere right?" I whisper as we walk past the room where Brayan and Phinn were sleeping.

"I know, you just either walk too slow or too fast," Luke says. "At least I can guide you at the pace I walk at."

"Ok," I say laughing. When we get to his room I sit down on his bed. I take my bowl of icecream and eat a spoonful as he sits next to me.
"You know you're kinda beautiful," Luke says and I blush.
"Thank you," I mumble and Luke giggles at me.
"I love when you blush," he says and I blush even more.
"I hate it," I reply quietly and Luke looks at me.
"It's cute," he says and kisses my cheek. Thats when my phone dings and I check it to see that Liz has posted the photo on both Instagram and Facebook.
"Mum," Luke groans before getting up, setting his bowl on the bed. "I'll be back in a minute."
I nod and he rushes out of the room so I decide to look at the comments on the Instagram photo.

There was various other replies, good and bad but that's where I decided to reply.

We're just friends and the boys and I are staying at Lukes tonight so I was busy doing my homework and trying to not be anti-social. @michaelgclifford you're too cute bug :* @michaelatristof Aleisha and Luke brokeup yesterday and I promise Luke and I are just mates. @calumhood omg aha but you know we're just friends :* @ashtonirwin maybe as a friendship :)'
That's when Luke comes back. He wraps me in a hug and I smile at him. "What's up?" I ask and he just hugs me tighter.
"You aren't a homewrecker," he mumbles and kisses the top of my head. That's when my heart sinks a little thinking of the rude girl.
"You're more emotional than me tonight," I say jokingly to Luke. He looks down at me.
"I can see that it did get to you but I'm just gonna ignore it for now because we need to forget about it," he says and I shrug.
"Fine with me," I say and we sit on his bed again. I'd finished my bowl of icecream when I was reading the comments. So as Luke ate his, I finished me homework.
"What did you say to your mum," I ask curiously as I finish up my last question.
"Nothing in particular," he mumbled and I looked at him. "I just talked to her about not posting stuff of us."
"Oh ok," I say and he nodded a little embarassed.
"Yeah," he says. He finishes his icecream ans I finish my homework.
'So tell me what you want what you really really want-' a phone goes off and Luke blushes.
"Bloody Ali," he mumbles and I know that she's changed his ringtone like she does to mine so often.
"Hello?" Luke says bitterly.
"You changed my ringtone!" he said.
"She's next to me,"
"Yes,"
"No,"
"I don't care,"
"Not my fault!"
"Ok,"
"I guess," he passes the phone to me and I look at him confused and he shrugs.
"Ali," he says and I nod.
"Hello?" I say.
"Oh my god! Have you kissed? Have you done the frick frack?! Did he break up with Aleisha for you?! What other cute stuff has happened?! Does Liz know? I mean well obviously she knows because she took the photo but does she know Lukes done the frick frack?! Whats gonna happen when we go on tour? Anna answer me! Oh my god!" she full on screams in my ear.
"Yes, no, I'm not sure, we haven't so she doesn't, I don't know we aren't together," I say and Ali sighs.
"Come on!" she groans and Luke takes the phone back.
"Ali it's 11 PM and we all have school tomorrow. We know how Anna gets when she has less than 9 hours sleep. We're risking it already with it being this late. Goodnight," he said before hanging up on her.
"We'll take my car to school tomorrow rather than having to catch the bus so you can sleep in until 8," Luke says. "You should go to bed."
"Alright, goodnight," I say and kiss his cheek before getting up.
"Do you have your sleeping pills?" Luke asks and I nod in conformation. "Goodnight."
I walk down the hall, sighing a little before heading into the spare room. Phinn has taken up the whole bed so I decide to just get a pillow and blanket and camp on the floor. It's carpet so it isn't that uncomfortable. I slowly drift off to sleep.
In the middle of the night I'm briefly awoken but shrug it off and fall bacl asleep when I feel a softer pillow under my head.
When I wakeup, I expect to be stiff and uncomfortable but instead I feel good. Like I'd slept on a cloud.
"Anna, wakeup," I hear a voice. I open my eyes to see Luke in front of me, shirtless. Not a bad sight for first thing in the morning I must admit.
"Morning," I mumble and stretch out to realize I'm on a bed.
"You fell asleep on the floor last night and Phinn woke up and realized so he came in and woke me up to see if I could lift you onto the bed for him. He's showering," Luke explains. I look around to see I'm still in the spare room.
"That was sweet of both of you," I reply and Luke blushed.
"Anyway, it's 8," he says and I nod.
"Thanks for letting me sleep in," I say and he shrugs politely.
"I know how much you like your sleep," he replies before jumping on the bed next to me.
"Anyway so when Phinns done you can have a shower, I made you breakfast and a coffee," he says and I smile at him.
"Thanks," I say yawning and he blushes again. "Today must be your day to blush."
"Shut up," he says embarassed and I smirk at him.
"It's not my fault you're the tomato today!"
"Yes it is! You're the only person who can make me feel like this!" he defends.
"Oh sure, blame everything on me," I say smirking and he shrugs.
"Anyway! Your coffee will get cold let's go!" he says brightly and pulls me downstairs.
"Slow down hot shot," I say and he laughs before we enter the kitchen and I see he's set up a plate of fresh fruit and put a glass of orange juice, a cup of coffee and a small boquet of flowers from his mums garden on the table. Set up to seem very cute and lovely. There was a letter next to the flowers.
Luke pulled out my chair and I sat down and he pushed me in. I decided to open the letter first because my curiosity was killing me.
'Dear Anna,
I'm writing one of these everyday until I leave for tour and everyday whilst I'm on tour. This is to remind you of how much I cherish you. I'm so glad we're finally open about our feelings for each other, I think you're beautiful and funny. You're a gorgeous person inside and outside and I'm really excited about possibly taking this 'relationship' or whatever further. I'm not going to ask you to be my girlfriend yet because that's unfair on both of us. Especially you. Besides, my going on tour will be a massive impact on our relationship and it's not the way to start it. However, when I find the right time to ask you, that's the first thing I'll do. This tour thing will really show us both if we're cut out for this relationship. I think you're too good for me but I'm not complaining. Anyway, each letter will contain 5 facts about you that I think are cute or sexy. Today's facts are:
1) You love dipping your chips in ice cream.
2) You scrunch up your nose a lot. Especially when you laugh.
3) You're incredibly intelligent.
4) When you get sassy.
5) Your cute when you're tired.
These things are just part of you being you and I think they're some of the amazing features that make up you.

I blush at a lot of the letter and by the end I was almost crying. I look up to see Luke was now at the fridge looking into it. I quickly got up and hugged him around the waist. He turned and kissed me on the lips quickly. I went back and ate my breakfast, making light conversation with Luke. Once I finished my breakfast I ran upstairs to have a shower.
"Go make your lunch," I said to Phinn as I grabbed my uniform.
"Liz made us all lunch, she's also feeding Brayan," he says and I sigh in relief.
"Just go eat something and make sure that your bag is all packed. I'm having a shower then we're leaving," I say before grabbing my towel from last night and heading to the bathroom.
Once I'm finished I change into my uniform and head downstairs. Luke waits for me at the bottom of the stairs and takes my hand.
"Phinn! Let's go man!" Luke calls and we head out to the car.
"What do you have first thing?" I ask Luke.
"Math," he says and I think.
"I have politics and law with Ali and Aleisha," I say, suddenly dreading the first lesson.
"At least we have media after!" Luke says and I smile at him.
"Let's go," Pheonix says as he hops in the car. I turn around to see he's styled his hair the same way as Lukes. I giggle to myself quietly and Luke looks at him through the review mirror.
"Nice hair man," Luke says.
"Thanks," he beams and I just smile to myself. When we get to school Phinn hops out but Luke tells me to wait, I sit there confused until I realized he wanted to open the door for me.
"You're so cute," I giggle and Luke glares at me playfully.
"I'm not cute! I'm a gentleman!" he pouts and I wanted to kiss him but it wouldn't be appropriate.
"I wish I could kiss you," I reply and we just stand there looking at each other for a while. 

"Let's get to homeroom," Luke says and I nod. As we walk down the hall, I get all these looks and people whispering casting looks our way. 

"Don't worry about them beautiful," Luke says in my ear as we pass yet another group. 

"I'm not too fussed, I'm just worried about Aleisha," I reply and Luke nods.
