To the End || Dream Team

Chapter 1, Part 2

"I'm so excited!"

George, Sapnap, and Bad all stand in front of a large poster presenting the roster of the battle, 24 names plastered on it.

"There are a lot of good players this year... Dream is still pretty new. Do you think he'll be alright?"

"Are you kidding? He's made it this far! We've seen his work in far smaller competitions. He's amazing!"

Sapnap rolls his eyes and smiles at George's enthusiasm.

"Don't forget, we're also rooting for Skeppy!" Bad reminds them.

"Of course, Bad!" George and Sapnap say in sync.

"I'm sure he'll also go great." Sapnap smiles.

The three of them wait around for the announcer to tell them that they can get seated. Most of the names on the roster were very familiar to them, some of them were much newer.

"Oh dear." Bad says suddenly.

"What is it?"

"Technoblade is playing this time."

George and Sapnap look back at the roster. His name had been in between a few older fighters. They aren't sure how they'd missed it.

"That's not good."

"He's definitely going to target some people."

"Probably Skeppy and Dream honestly. I heard he and Dream have been talking recently."

"What if they team up?"

Sapnap shrugs. "Then it's pretty much game over for everyone else. Dream's never really done any teaming before though, and he's only ever competed in solo matches."

"So we'll just have to wait and see."

"Bajan is playing this year again. He always ranks in the top 5. How is-?"

Their conversation is cut short by a buzzing overhead. The chatter in the room quiets down as a voice booms over the loudspeakers.

"Fighters! To your stations! Spectators, to the stands!"

The crowd cheers, hundreds of people moving to two doorways to get to their seats.

"It's time!" George squeals. "What are we waiting for? Lets go!"

Sapnap and Bad shout at George as he fixes his glasses and suddenly takes them both by the hand, practically yanking them forward to get to the stands.
