To the End || Dream Team

Chapter 1, Part 4

"BAWK!"

Bajan collects the meat and feathers of a chicken he's just slain. Since leaving the centre chest shelter, he's started collecting food. He got enough equipment to confidently make it through the first day from the chests and items Stacy dropped.

"Dream has just made the advancement 'Monster Hunter!'"

He must be in a cave, Bajan thinks. He'll have iron soon.

Dream was moving too fast for Bajan's liking. He only recently heard about Dream and his achievements, and was quite impressed with the information. He was happy to see Dream's name on this years roster.

Of course, they'd fought in the same arenas before, but until now had never directly interacted.

"DanTDM, Skeppy, and Stampy have all made the advancement 'Aquire Hardware!'"

Bajan checks his inventory. Respawn Crystal secure in the corner, a handful of food, and a few other tools and items settle there. Bajan decides he's got enough food to last at least a day or two, depending on how he uses it, and looks to find a cave. Can't have the competition moving on too quickly.

Mr. Beast calls out a few more advancements for the other fighters, but no one of interest to Bajan. The moment he collects cobblestone, Beast calls it out. He really keeps a tight eye on every single fighter.

After a bit of wandering, Bajan finds the mouth of a cave. By the looks of it, no one else has found it yet. This entrance at the very least.

He's stopped for a moment by another announcement. "Tommyinnit was doomed to fall by Technoblade!"

"That's one less problem to deal with..." Bajan mutters to himself.

He's met with a spider right away. It's child's play, and his 'Monster Hunter' advancement is announced to the Arena.

Within the cave, he loses track of time, and before Bajan even knows it, he hears Beast's voice echo through the stone walls.

"Alright fighters! Half an hour in, and we've already lost two contenders! Stacy and Tommyinnit sit in the High House!

"Night falls in 90 seconds. The rest of you have so far survived and evaded the other competitors, lets see how you handle the mobs."

Bajan collects enough iron to make a near full set of armor and some tools, earning a couple new advancements.

"Looks like Cupquake and Aphmau are teaming up!"

Bajan rolls his eyes. There's always a small group who teams up in these sort of events since they're usually not against the rules. It complicates things a bit usually, but never really too much of an issue. He doesn't understand the point of teaming. If your team isn't taken out by a solo fighter, and you make it to the end of the game, then you'd have to fight each other. That's always how it works.

Bajan decides to camp out in the cave for the night. No one else seems to have come by it at all, and everyone else will either be sleeping or doing about the same as him.

He smelts some cobblestone and blocks the cave entrance with dirt and stone in case anyone comes by and catches him by surprise.

He goes over the advancements made by other fighters during the day. Two fighters out, most people have iron by now, and another majority have at least one piece of iron armor. No ones found diamonds yet it seems.

He thinks of a game plan to act on once the sun comes up.
