Nott... how did she find that thing?

"I knew they were out here." I scanned over the island, Old Berk. The place dragons were killed captured and then tamed.

I stared at the empty space of where Nott and the Night Fury had been. The smoke lingered and the endless grey that had swallowed them up. I should have been more prepared.

The dragon picked the wrong Haddock, it should have picked me. I'm the strong one. I'm the one destined to be the next dragon master. To bring the dragon's out of their need to hide and show the world that we can coexist.

"I guess I should learn to fly a plane." I made my way back to our campsite. Nott traveled light, she had the one backpack she never took off. Hopefully the Night Fury didn't think Nott was a danger. Otherwise, it might have taken her for dinner.

Casting one last look out toward the horizon I sighed "hang in there, Nott. I'm coming." Turning my attention on the plane I was pretty good at flight simulations, how different could it be?

----Author's Note----

Super short chapter, Hagen's POV will now be sprinkled in periodically. I didn't want to give too much away by putting his POV in too early.

chapter 12 is written, will be edited tonight and up tomorrow morning.
