Sorry about not including Mikan's stutter at the end of the last chapter, I honestly didn't want to add a stutter to so much text. I'll do it in the future for small parts but writing out realistic stutters for large amounts of text is difficult and a bit tedious.

"That's enough reading for now," Shuichi spoke to himself, gently placing the book Mikan gave him on the tiny food tray attached to the hospital bed. As he stood up to stretch his aching muscles, an unusual chime drew his attention towards the pile of clothes he forgot to change into multiple hours ago. Is that the body discovery announcement?
Shuichi's heart rate exceeded the roof at the memories the familiar chime brought back to him. No, the killing game is over now and everyone's alive. He took multiple deep breaths before deciding to investigate the pile of clothes. Rummaging inside the shirt, Shuichi noticed a familiar phone. Even though he'd never seen it in his life, the phone felt like it belonged to him. Picking it up, Shuichi turned the screen on to see a lilac-haired girl staring back at him. The Monokuma head dangling off the phone case created a second face staring at him, freaking out Shuichi.
A bunch of notifications contrasted the strange background, the newest one standing out the most.

TeaPartay: Hey, I'm not sure what this is, who's he...I wonder what that is... Before Shuichi could open the text message, his phone chimed yet again with what sounded like a theme song, the only word being 'Danganronpa'. Uncle? I suppose I should answer.
"Hello?"
"Shuichi, I didn't expect you to answer. How are you?"
"Um... sorry but who is this?" He doesn't sound like the uncle I know... he's more... caring?
"It's your uncle. Do you not remember me?"
"I uh... don't remember much. I'm sorry."
"Don't apologise Shuichi, it's not your fault. How about we meet up when you're feeling better?"
"Sure, I'll be allowed home soon... I think I live with you, right?"
"Yes, you do." Shuichi's uncle sighed through the phone. "I'm so proud of you my boy. There was no way you'd die in your favourite show, although I expected you to become... what are they call... darkened?" He didn't know what to say, Shuichi stayed silent for a few moments before speaking, his voice only coming out in a whisper.
"You... let me sign up for this?"
"Of course I did, you kind of threatened my life if I didn't. Plus I'd never keep my nephew from his dream."
"How could you let me go? Why wouldn't you try to talk me out of it?"
"Shuichi-"
"Why would you let me join such a horrible game?!" Shuichi shouted, unable to hold back his whirlwind of emotions.
"Shuichi, it's your life goal to join Danganronpa, why would I keep you from that? You seem confused and scared, how about we talk when you get home? I apologise for overwhelming you. I know I rarely say this but, Shuichi, I love you kid."
"I- love you too uncle," Shuichi replied before his uncle disconnected. It felt weird telling an almost stranger that he loved them, but surely the uncle he remembered and the uncle he just talked to weren't too different. Oh! The message! He remembered the original reason he grabbed his phone.
