(Barbara's POV)
We're walking through the streets, Paimon with a few more snacks in her hands than you think she can even eat.
"The Mingxiao Lantern will be released in a few days, so how About we make some Xiao lanterns already? We won't release them yet but you can never have enough trust me!" Lumine suggests and Paimon stops eating for a second to agree, mouth still full.
"What do you think, Barbara?" They both look at me and Paimon starts to chew again.
"That sounds like a good idea, I could really use some practice considering that I have never made one before." I nod and look around again, noticing a bit too late that my companions have changed the way and running after them.

"That lantern looks amazing! You're a natural Barbara!" Lumine compliments me and I feel my face get a bit red. "Y-you think so?" I look away and Paimon's voice, agreeing to Lumine, gets drowned by the sound of the people around us as I see a familiar brown haired girl walking through the crowd.
"Are you planning on giving it to some-" "Give it to Paimon!" I hear when I listen to Paimon and Lumine again.
"Give it to someone?" I look at the lantern in my hands and back at Xinyan.
"Yeah, it's normal to give lanterns to friends or family or-" "PAIMON!" "-other people you're close to." Lumine ignores Paimon calling her own name in the middle of the sentence."I already got plans to give a lantern to someone - who's not Paimon." She looks at Paimon, who seems like she was just gonna say something.
"If you don't mind, I have to do something. I'll be back in a Moment." I take my Xiao lantern and run off, leaving the two Standing there.

(Xinyan's POV)
"Hey, Xinyan!" I hear a voice behind me and turn my head to see Barbara running towards me with a Xiao lantern in her hands.
"Hey Barbara, didn't expect to see ya today!" I turn on my heels and look down at her hands, pretending to only now notice the lantern she's holding. "You lookin' for someone you wanna give that to or are you just gonna release it while the sun's out?"
She looks down nervously and takes one hand of the lantern to use it to play with her hair.
"Actually, I was going to give it to-" she's starting to use her free hand to put her bangs in front of her face, hiding her eyes. She then holds out her other hand that's still holding the lantern
"-you."
That's unexpected.
"We've only known each other for like- two days?" I feel my face turn warm. "I don't know any other people here in Liyue that long to be honest. Also, we share a hobby." She adds to her sentence. I collect my thoughts, not wanting to start stuttering in this Situation.
"Ya know, if you give me a Xiao lantern you also gotta release it with me." I say, trying to gain my confidence back. "Oh... I do?" Barbara pulls back her hand and I immediatly regret what I just said. "Only if you want to, of course. I ain't gonna force you to anything." I defend myself and put up my hands. Barbara laughs quietly and looks back up. "I don't mind. I'll just have to ask the traveler and Paimon if it's okay for them."
She holds out her hand again, letting me take the Xiao lantern. I do that and smile.
"Lookin' forward to it!" Both of us leave in different directions, while my heart feels like it's going to jump out of my chest.
