~Samara's POV~

"You work today?" Elias asked me later that morning, after I had changed back into the clothes I'd been wearing last night, which he had thankfully washed for me. I glanced up at him and shook my head, running my hand through my hair. "Well, not anymore, I mean. I called out since my car's fucked in the parking lot." I said, standing from his bed after I had put my Doc Martens on.

"So.." He trailed, following me as I wandered past him to exit his room. "You're free, then?" He asked, twirling his car keys around his fingers. I paused, glancing up at him over my shoulder. "Yes.." I affirmed, fiddling with my lip piercings using my tongue.

Eli glanced down at my mouth, his gaze lingering there for a moment before he glanced back up at me again to meet my gaze. "Good." He murmured, leading me out of his house and out to his car. I found when I stepped outside that it was still raining a little, though nothing even close to how it had been storming last night and earlier this morning. Now it was only a light rainfall, the type that I loved.

I smiled to myself and glanced up at the sky as I waited for Elias to lock the front door, standing in the driveway by his car. The cool feeling of the raindrops on my face made me feel relaxed.

"What are you doing?" Elias snorted as he came walking down the driveway, pressing a button on his legs that made his car chirp when it unlocked. I looked over at him and shrugged my shoulders, biting the inside of my cheek. "What? I like the rain." I said defensively, watching as a deeply amused look formed on his pretty face. "Yeah, you know, I have a hard time believing that after last night." He teased, swinging open the driver's side door while I opened the passenger's door. We got into his car and I glanced over at him, sending him a playful glare as I slammed the door shut. "Shut up." I grumbled, buckling my seatbelt. "That was different. I don't like storms." I told him, setting my purse on my lap. He chuckled, starting up the car before he began to reverse out of the driveway, heading towards my apartment. "You seem to be scared of a lot of things." He remarked.

Unsure if I should be offended or not, I huffed softly and glanced out the window, watching the scenery pass by. He seemed to notice my reaction because he paused and I could feel him glancing at me out of the corner of his eye. "I didn't mean it in a bad way, Samara." He sighed, causing me to turn my head to look at him as he focused on the road once again. I didn't have anything more to say, so I just smiled softly to myself and relaxed into the comfy seat for the rest of the car ride.

When we arrived at my apartment building, Eli followed closely behind me as I headed up the stairs, leading him to my apartment. I unlocked the front door and then let him in first, trailing in after him. I shut and locked the door after myself, glancing over to see Elias was now scouring through my pantry for food, and then he moved onto the fridge once he found nothing worthwhile in there. Amused, I shook my head and walked off to my room to find something else to put on, knowing that I didn't exactly have much food here so he probably wouldn't find anything to eat anyway. My fridge was even more empty than my pantry, in fact.

Stripping off the clothes I had put back on, I instead grabbed a simple black dress that said angel on the front in a large font, had thin spaghetti straps and was a little bit flowy on me, so it was pretty comfortable to wear at home. I kicked off my shoes and left on my socks, as my feet often felt too cold on the hardwood floors in my apartment.

I tied my hair up in a bun on my head and wandered back into the living room, spotting Elias as he stood in the kitchen still, somehow having found something to eat. It wasn't until I realized that he was eating my favorite beef jerky that I had bought myself just the other day that I said anything. "Hey!" I exclaimed, my jaw dropping. "That's mine!" I said, marching over to where he stood in the kitchen, not looking like he had a care in the world. He even smirked when I stopped before him, peering down at me with a glint of amusement in his blue eyes. "You sound like a little kid pouting because you got your favorite toy stolen." He told me.

With a huff I snatched the bag of beef jerky from him and zipped it closed, placing it back in the cabinet where I kept it. "I didn't bring you here so you could eat all my food, you know." I scolded him, crossing my arms over my chest when I turned around to look at him.

"But I'm hungry." He said, almost sounding a little bit pouty, which was something that I had never heard from him before. I couldn't help the stunned, incredulous way that I looked at him and I could tell he was slightly confused about it because his brows furrowed. "What?" He asked, but I just shook my head and gave a soft snicker. "You just sounded like you were pouting. Now who sounds like a little kid?" I teased, causing him to scowl at me. The funny thing was that he had scowled at me many times before, but this one seemed different—more playful. It made me smile.

"We can order food." I suggested then, pushing a fallen strand of hair out of my face. I wandered over to the front door and grabbed my purse off the entry way table where I had left it, digging out my phone. "Anything you want?" I asked him, handing him my phone to order food once I entered the kitchen again.

He hummed, swiping his way into my phone easily since I never had a password on it, mostly because I saw no point. I had basically nothing on my phone except for a few games I'd play when I was bored, anyway. "Chinese." He said, glancing up at me. "Is that okay?" He asked, running a hand through his neatly styled hair. My stomach grumbled in response and his lips twitched up in amusement. "I'll take that as a yes." He chuckled, dialing a number before he held the phone up to his ear.

After we had both ordered our food and it arrived, the two of us headed into my bedroom and he made himself comfy beside me in my bed, where I somehow managed to convince him to watch anime with me while we ate.
