*Three months later*

"How are you feeling?" Niall asked.
"Tired" Valerie breathed out.
"Just have some rest"
"I want to see her"
"They're cleaning her up. Once they brought her I will wake you up."
"Okay" she was too tired to argue.
She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Baby Horan finally arrived.
The nurse entered the room quietly handing the baby to Niall.
He thanked her and she exited the room.
He looked at the baby with amazed eyes. He couldn't believe his daughter was finally here.
"I will always protect you" he whispered and kissed her temple gently.

As if Valerie sensed her baby was here she opened her eyes.
"Is she here?" It came out as a whisper.
"Yeah" he walked toward her.
"Look how beautiful she is" Niall handed her the baby.
She smiled softly looking at her.
Niall was smiling proudly at his sight. His wife holding his daughter.

"You cheated didn't you?" Ayla asked Jacob laughing.
They were playing card games and he won.
"Says who?" He acted offended.
She smiled looking at him.
"Okay fine you caught me" he held his hand in defeat in the air.
She shook her head giggling.
"Then I win" she put her cards in the middle.
"Hold on you didn't have that" he said confused.
She burst into laughter.
"Oh so you cheated too ha?" He started chasing her.

He caught her and they fell on the floor laughing hard.
He stared at her and then glanced at her lips.
He slowly leaned forward and kissed her and she kissed back.
They both closed their eyes and kissed each other passionately.

"She looks so cute" Ava said holding her niece.
"She definitely doesn't look like you then" Greg joked around.
"I don't know about that but I know for sure she doesn't look like you." Ava fired back.
"Hey no arguing around my baby" Niall picked his daughter from Ava's hand.

"So Niall any names yet?" Maura asked.
He nodded.
"You are looking at Grace Riley Horan" he said proudly.
"I love it" Bobby said.
They all agreed.

"How are you feeling?" Ava asked Valerie.
"Sore. Exhausted. Hungry" she giggled.
Ava giggled along with her.
"Do you like the name?" Ava asked.
"Yeah. I love it"
"That's good" she smiled.
A knock interrupted them.
Valerie's parents enter.
"Can we come in?"
"Of course" Niall smiled.

They entered and said hello to everyone and hugged Valerie.
They look at the baby and became emotional.
"Our first grandchild" Emma whispered.
"She's adorable" Frank said.
Another knock came.
Jacob's parents.
Jacob's father did a various amount of construction projects for Niall's father. That's why Bobby is a little close with Alex. Plus, they are also friends with Valerie's parents.

They all said hello and they walked toward the baby.
They looked at her.
"She's so beautiful" Catherine said and Alex agreed.
Valerie smiled at them weakly.
"She's adorable" Catherine looked at Valerie.
"Thank you" she said quietly feeling guilty.

Everyone finally left.
It was just Niall and Valerie.
"Where did they take my baby?" She asked.
"They're taking care of her. You rest now." Niall said.
She nodded and closed her eyes.
Niall sat on the chair looking at her beautiful wife. He couldn't be happier.
He was the happiest man on the planet.

"You're so quiet today" Alex told Catherine.
She sighed.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I was thinking if Valerie was married to Jacob, we would've been grandparents now." She said sadly.
"Well it was not our destiny to have a grandchild now"
"Or he separated them" she said angrily.
"Catherine" Alex sighed.
"Where is Jacob anyways?" She asked.
"He said he's going to meet someone."
"He's been going out a lot lately." She said.

"Hi" Jacob entered.
"Hi son" Alex said.
"I have an announcement" he said.
"What is it?" Catherine asked.
"I have a girlfriend." He said happily.
"You do?!" They both asked excitedly and shocked.
"Yeah. She's here to meet you."
Ayla came to their view.
"Hi. I'm Ayla nice to meet you" she said.
"Hi" Catherine had the biggest smile on her face.
Her son was no longer depressed.

"Welcome home" Niall whispered to his daughter.
Valerie and Grace were discharged after two days and they went home.
"Hi" Ava greeted them.
"Hi" Valerie responded.
They walked to their room.
Since the baby is newborn, they decided she stays in their own room for now.

Niall laid Grace down in her crib.
"I'll go grab her stuff" he kissed Valerie's temple and jogged downstairs.
Valerie looked at her daughter with a warm smile on her face.
"Be good to everyone, okay? Don't be violent." She whispered to her.

Maura entered and walked toward Grace's crib.
"She's really beautiful. She looks just like her father." She said.
"Oh my heart aches for her. She was supposed to have a brother."
Valerie breathed heavily.
"And now she was born alone"
Maura shook her head.
"Hey mum" Niall said entering.
"Hi son" she smiled and acted innocent.

He put everything in the closet that's associated to Grace and hugged his mum.
After some small talks she left the room.
"Val go and have some- are you okay?" He asked noticing how tense she was.
"Yeah" she breathed out.
"I'm just a little tired. That's all."
"Yeah. Just have some rest while she's sleeping."
She nodded and laid down on the bed.
"Niall" she sat up.
"Yes love"
"Can- never mind" 
"Tell me. What is it?"
"It wasn't important"
"Valerie tell me" he sat next to her holding her hand.

"Don't be angry or don't fight with anyone. Just please tell your mother to stop reminding me about the miscarriage." Her voice cracked.
He tensed a bit.
"She still does that?" He asked madly.
"Before you came in"
He hugged her.
"You have some rest and don't worry about anything. I will deal with her."
"Don't fight"
"Shh..just have some rest."
She nodded and laid back down.
