i genuinely try to make these original, it's hard because EVERYONE does them the same and takes all the ideas

charlie
- you moved into an apartment just down the hall from him
- it's early summer, which means there's no room for you to make friends until school starts
- he goes to say hi and introduce himself because he's charlie, of course
- you're probably a little shy and awkward at first but he keeps coming around
- eventually invites you over whilst the ducks are over
- you meet the whole team
- takes place around the first movie btw
- you pretty much befriend them all and start hanging out with him more
- when school starts, they're your only friends so, obviously, you stick with them most of the time
- you two have classes together and end up really close in the first year or so

adam
- your parents are friends, so you've been friends for a long time
- you officially met before you can even remember
- you've just been best friends for as long as you can think back to
- he probably talks to you about things that he can't speak about to anyone else because you're so close (things his parents wouldn't understand, like moving over to the ducks)
- your parent/guardian always makes sure to request that your classes are with his, so you're together a lot anyway

fulton
- the ducks all walk home together after practices and school in this big group so nobody gets lost/hurt/left behind
- when he joins the team, he starts walking with them as well
- you two live on the same road, so when you're dropped off at it, it's about a 15-minute walk alon together until you reach either house
- he's pretty quiet, but you don't like awkward, so you start randomly making conversation pretty quick
- he just listens at first
- slowly begins to make more and more little comments
- they form into full sentences eventually
- and boom, congrats, you're his first friend on the ducks
- he follows you around like a puppy now, you're welcome

julie
- you meet when she joins the team, because i'm unoriginal when it comes to her
- she probably catches your eye right away because she's julie, of course
- if you identify as female/fem-presenting, you share a dorm with her and connie
- if you identify as male/transmasc/masc-presenting, you share a dorm with the majority of the boys and you two end up talking a lot very quickly
- she finds you a bit annoying at first
- gets used to you quickly because she realizes that you're stuck together for a while
- starts to like you after a few weeks or so

connie
- you meet at school through an elective class
- most likely comprehensive art on your freshman year
- she sits next to you because you look cool or something
- she's a really talkative person, so she makes conversation fast
- she compliments you a lot on the first couple of days (and all the time, but ik a lot of people aren't used to compliments so it stands out more)
- starts hanging around you outside of the class, too
- asks to be moved to your other electives with you
- you become friends fast because she liked you instantly

portman
- you're a friend from back home
- you play, too, and get invited to play for the ducks as well
- you get upset with him around d3 when he ditches them
- you call him to bitch about it like every day
- you really probably just miss him, but who's gonna straight up say that lmao
- you make s u r e you have classed together at eden when he "finally damn shows up"

guy
- he spills chocolate milk on you at lunch
- neither were paying attention, you just bump right into each other
- averman screams "collision!" and laughs when it happens
- guy profusely apologizes and doesn't know what to do
- offers you his jacket.
- you politely try to decline
- he insists
- you take his jacket after cleaning your shirt up with terrible lunchroom napkins that probably made it worse
- you end up giving it back the next day
- this gives you an excuse to strike up a conversation because he seems really nice
- plot twist, he is really nice
- you become friends

luis
- at the library
- you're both getting one of the books required for one of your classes
- you both reach for it at the same time and realize your mistake
- you apologize n stuff and he lets you take the book
- you start talking on the way back to class and just start hanging out

ken
- at a park
- you're reading on a blanket on the ground, he's walking across the park, and trips over you
- probably apologizes a lot and gets flustered and embarrassed
- offers to make up for it with food
- instead, you two start talking about the book you're reading and get lost in discussion about it

dwayne
- one word
- rodeo. enough said.
- very polite upon first meeting
- compliments you a lot
- his parents like you
- your parents/guardians like him
- boom. friends.

averman
- he won't shut up in class
- you two are bickering (more like he's making dumb jokes and you're telling him to shuddup)
- you end up in detention with him
- you're the only two in there, and you're both really bored
- so, of course, you start talking about random things
- you start by complaining about your schedule and the teacher that gave you detention
- he just roasts them and laughs at his own jokes
- they're terrible, btw
- you laugh a couple times though and this leads to sticking together for a while outside of detention

jesse
- you meet through charlie, who you're partnered up with for a class
- he was around at charlie's while you were over working on the project for the class
- he introduces the two of you and you spend the next 2 hours in charlie's room goofing off instead of actually doing the project
- he helps with it even though he doesn't have the class
- you two like each other pretty fast
