I feel to much

It's been 9 years since I first got here. Life has been easy. They gave me powers; powers that can rival gods. Over the years I've learned how this place works. If you do what you're told, the less pain you have to endure. 

I was in my cell when the door opened revealing a middle aged man in a white suit. As he walked in the opened farther and two big bulky men walked in behind him. They started to talk, “Is this him?” “Yeah grab him and him to ‘the room”. I didn’t say anything, in fact I didn’t even resist. As they carried me through the halls I felt nothing. I haven't felt anything since The Incident. That was the day Clay died.

It was my first day on the field; I’m usually training with my instructor. Everything was going fine. I was hitting all my targets. Until well I didn't. Let me explain I was doing my mission and my next target appeared on my screen. It was a family, a mom, a dad, and two little boys. They were too similar, they were too close. I couldn’t do it. They remind me too much of home. And since I couldn’t do it. I failed. I couldn’t do as I was told; I had to be punished.

So they beat me.

They tore me apart...

Because I felt too much.

So I decided not to feel at all.
