Mia and Aaron graduated shortly after their meeting and Mia saw Aaron off when he flew out for the United States. Over the next four years, Mia endured quite the obstacles as she went through the police academy. The training was both physically and mentally demanding, but she persevered nonetheless. She thought back to her dad and how hard he worked her whole life to provide for her, which helped her push through the hardships. Occasionally her mind drifted to Aaron, the boy who was always there for her. They would text and call occasionally, but never for very long as Aaron's schooling was very demanding and Mia's training left her exhausted more often than not.
After four years passed, Mia had graduated at the top of her class and was to begin a new life as an officer of the law. She received a message from Aaron around that time, stating he was going to come back to Iceland for a little while. They made plans to meet up at the cafe again, to catch up for lost time.
