Scared

I am very scared right now. Uncle Edward called me to his office. Yes you heard it right uncle Edward.

I take a deep breath and knock on his door

"Come in"

I walk into the cozy room with a big Window behind the table of his. Lots of brown shelves and fireplace in the middle and two black couches.

"Violet, come sit"

I sit on the couch and smile nervously.

"I know you may be wondering why I called you."

"Yes exactly"

"Today at the Dinner" he stands up and walk closer to me. "A very important family is coming over, I want you to dress up fancy and make good impression"

"Uh yeah of course" I say scratching back of my neck

"Good" he smiles "go get ready do you have good dress?"

"Yes I do"

"Great"

I quickly walk out of the room confused, why he told me that she and not Valentina?

I search for the dress in my closet, finally I come up with my favorite one, it was birthday present from my mom, her last birthday present....

I look at myself in the mirror, I really like how I look.

I walk I out of the room and see Val in the black dress.

"Valentina!"

"Yes?"

"Do you know who are these people they seem very important-"

"I am sorry" is all she whispers before walking away.

I am so confused, why is  she sorry? What's going?

Soon after I just brush it off.

The "important people" are coming in few minutes and I am nervous I have this weird feeling in my stomach like it was going upside down and making circles. I fix my hair one last time and walk down. Soon enough I hear knock.

Aunt Vivian walks to door and smiles at them.

"Come in please"

I see a lady with a lot of makeup blonde hair and brown eyes walk into the house. After her, a man he should be 6'4 or something like that, he's wearing a fancy suit and his hair is fixed back and his green eyes are shinning.

"Anthony your so grown up" uncle Edward says and shakes his hand

"It's really nice to see you again Mr Rose"

"Ah please call me Edward"

"And who's this Beautiful girl here?"
He looks at me and checks me up and down.

"This is my niece, Violet"

"Pleasure" I mumble and shake his hand not looking up. I am pretty shy at 1st.

"Violet, Valentina darling, why don't you show Anthony around?"

I nod my head even though I don't want to I get this scary mysterious feeling from him

"Follow me" I smile at him

Me Valentina and mr. mysterious walk out of living room,

After a while of showing him around our maid Hailey call us for dinner and we all go back.

I sit between Valentina and Anthony.

After a while of chatting and me sitting like a tree almost not breathing and feeling awkward my uncle says my name

"Violet"

"Yes Uncle Edward?"

"So, we wanted to tell you this long time..." he takes a deep breath "You are already grown woman, Woman should be married so...You'll be marrying Anthony very soon.."
