A movie came on when spongebob went off and it was too dumb for my brain to function right so I left the triplets alone and went to the kitchen.
I got a cup of orange juice and a poptart and sat down at the small table in the kitchen.
I threw my cup in the sink. "Buckets boy."
"No lol." Joshua said coming in with Kendall right behind him.
"This ain't a text boy go somewhere." Kendall nudged him.
"You guys are so adorable." I laughed pinching Ken's cheek.
"I'm not adorable I'm almost 17."
"Yeah in 8 months."
"Whatever." The doorbell rung. "Go get that Kendall."
"Hell no. You can suck my-"
"Lalala. I'll get it while you two enjoy your time together." When I walked into the living room Ms. B was standing looking out the door with her hand over her mouth and tears in her eyes. I had never seen this creature so any emotion besides angst and anger.
"Antonio?" A sob broke through. I walked over and stood behind her and saw Davion's friend on the other side of the door. He had a bag and his shoulder and he stared at her in confusion.
"Uh..How you know my name?"
"Come in. Come in." She moved aside, bumping me in the process. I scoffed but she didn't notice.
He smiled when he saw me.
"Oh hey gorgeous. Enfinity right?" I didn't respond. He looked me up and down and observed my dark gray leggings and black crop top. "Nice outfit."
"Thanks Antonio." I sent him a fake smile.
"Oh! You two know each other. Great. Enfinity go get him a cup of water."
I bust out laughing. A single tear rolled down my cheek. I even heard the boys in the kitchen and one of the triplets laugh. "I don't know what drugs you started doing but no type of high can make you have the audacity to imagine me as some type of fucking maid. That was a good try though." I shook my head and continued to laugh. "Ha. Get somebody I don't care about some water. Ha. Good one."
"You should be happy I didn't throw you and your little boyfriend's stuff out after you ran off. Get him some water." She turned to me and her face became stern. It didn't faze me though.
"Go ahead. Bet your broke ass won't risk loosing money." I stared her right in the face. I don't know why she believes we're supposed to be scared of her. It's been like this for years. "N..O.." I spelled it out slowly for her.
"Disrespectful little piece of shit." I shrugged her irrelevant comment off and sat on the stairs getting on my phone. I checked my Family Guy game.
Antonio smirked up at me. "Looks like you have your hands full."
"No don't mind her or her incompetent friends."
"Can you even spell incompetent?" She didn't reply. "You need to realize where you came from bitch. You're more inferior than the rest of us. You try to blame us for the way we act but you know damn well we actually started to warm up to you a few years ago but you fucked that up. You wanted to start hitting people with pots because we asked you about your fucking family. A SIMPLE FUCKING QUESTION. Do you ever wonder why your sons didn't want to stay with you? Do you wonder what it would be like to hold them? Huh? Are you lonely? Do you think about them every night? What about the husband you never had?" By this point I had gotten up and walked over to her and stood directly in her face. I was beyond pissed off. I was furious. I have so much hatred for this woman standing in front of me. She tortured us before we were even teenagers.
There was an older girl. Raven. I looked up to her. She was my rock while I lived here. We shared a room and everything. Whenever Ms. B got drunk and went on a rampage Raven would pull me in close and sing to me so I could drown out the yelling. We would sit in her closet and tell ghost stories. She would go out to the store and bring me back Oreos and Reese's. One day B drove her off. Raven ran out and was snatched up by some guys on the street. B didn't run after her, didn't try to find her, didn't care. Just because she's disappointed in her own pathetic ass life.
"I have wondered. I've prayed and-"
"You're a sorry excuse for a life. You don't even deserve to think God's name. Let alone talk to him."
"Enfinity I'm deeply and truly sorry for what I've done over these years. I've hurt to see my sons again and my wish just came true." She turned and smiled at Antonio.
I stood confused and looked back and forth between her and Antonio. There was a resemblance there. Same skin tone and face structure, same eyes and nose. Antonio looked just as confused as I was then realization hit.
I didn't wanna be here for the emotional depth.
"It's too late for fucking apologies Keisha. Save that shit for your son."
And with that I walked off.
