Marcell grabbed my hand and pulled me to the middle of the large living room. 'Rednose' by Sage the Gemini was playing. Really. People still listen to this? I turned around and wrapped my arms around his shoulders and began to grind on him while he grinded back. He spun me around and put his hands on my waist so I did my thang and started to twerk on him.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Kam talking to Davion and him looking agitated. I chuckled when he put his hand up and walked away leaving her dumbfounded.

Is it wrong that I'm happy?

That's my bestfriend and all.. but that's what she gets. She shouldn't be thirsty.

Is it wrong that if he did talk to her I would be jealous?

Like, full on jelly?

I shrugged and turned my attention back to Marcell when the song changed to 'Make It Nasty' by Tyga.

Now THIS ladies and gentlemen, is my song.

Kam got on the dance floor and grabbed me from Marcell. We turned into full hype mode and turned all the way up. She had a drink in her hand so I grabbed it and drank it down. I could tell she's already tipsy the way she's twerking on the floor in her splits.

Remind me to talk to her later about her drink consumption.

I pulled her up and some random guy from the crowd around us grabbed her and she started twerking on him. Not even looking to see who it was.

And he was ugly

Burnt black with his hair cut all the way down. Hairline was nice but he was chubby and short. Maybe 5'5 or something like that. Yellow looking teeth. I can't explain but he was just not attractive.

He looked at me and smiled saying I could join. I rolled my eyes and walked away going to the kitchen. I need a drink

And let's just say that after that drink..and 5 more...the night, along with me, got trashed.

.............

"No.. mommy don't go." A little girl with big brown eyes and long brown hair pouted.

"Sorry baby but I have to go out and make money. Mommy'll miss you,"  An older woman with brown eyes and black hair said rubbing the little girl's hair.

"Mommy dont go" The girl whispered as a tear ran down her chubby cheek.

The woman wiped the girl's tear away and hugged her small fragile body. She cracked a tiny small before saying I love you and leaving out of the door.

I stood back watching, invisible and unable to move, as the little girl watched the door waiting for her mother to come home. Hoping maybe her mother will turn around and bust through the big brown wood door, wrap her arms around her and say she doesn't need a job, she just needs her daughter.

But that never happened.

The little girl looked down and trudged to the couch wondering what her mother even does to make money. Her kitten jumped up next to her and the two watched Dora and Spongebob for hours.

I watched with no emotion as the clock next to the couch turned  11:00p.m. My eyes darted back to the couch seeing the little girl sprawled out trying to stay awake. She knew her mother was always home before this time and she couldn't go to sleep without a goodnight kiss and hug.

The girl was only 8 years young and was in 3rd grade. She tried to busy her mind with multiplication facts instead of worrying about her mother.
