Taehyung was still smiling at Jungkook. But when he heard the voice, he felt his trance break.

"Don't worry Taehyung I have informed the police. They are on their way."

He heard the door to the stairs of the basement open slowly.

"Taehyung are you there?"

"No! Jennie don't come down here! Go away!"

"Ah this girl! I thought she died! These stupid people won't just let me live happily! Argh!"

Jungkook grunted immediately getting up from where he was moving slowly towards the stairs. He grabbed what looked like a rod from a corner of the room and switched off the light.

"No Jennie don't come down here please! Go away! Run!" Taehyung shouted as loudly as he could, but Jennie was having none of it.

When Jungkook was trying to choke Jennie, at the last moment Jennie pretended to be dead by holding her breath. As soon as she felt Jungkook run behind Jisoo, she knew that she wouldn't be able to save Jisoo. But she knew she could save Taehyung.

When she made sure Jungkook had gone far away, Jennie quickly got up and searched for her phone which she had dropped while trying to defend herself. While searching for her phone, her brain was trying to think where Taehyung could be? Where Jungkook would have kept Taehyung?

And then it suddenly clicked her. The only place possible here for Jungkook to hide Taehyung was the abandoned house. Only she, Yoongi and Jungkook had gone in that house. Jungkook had kept him there. She was sure of it.

While thinking all of this, she had found her phone and was already dialing for the police. It was almost five thirty and they had already started clearing up the roads. On getting Jennie's call, they warned Jennie not to do anything on her own, and just stay where she was.

At first Jennie was there, standing and waiting for the police to come. But she thought they were taking too long. Then she thought, that Jungkook might be still with Jisoo and she decided to go rescue Taehyung on her own.

And now here she was again, running to her death. Inspite of Taehyung's continuous begs she was coming down the stairs.

"You don't have to worry anymore Taehyung. The police will be here any minute. We have to get out of here as soon as possible." Jennie stepped down the last step and stood in foot of the dark room. She took very cautious steps into the darkness.

"Taehyung where are you?"

"Jennie don't-"

"You aren't supposed to be alive Jen! I'll make sure of it this time."

Jennie immediately recognized the voice and understood the blunder she had done.

"Jung-" She was going to turn towards the voice, but before she could do that, the room echoed a fine 'ding' sound, with Jennie's half spoken name, and a thud was heard.

"No!!" Cried Taehyung subtly moving in his chair, weak from sitting in the same position for so long.

Jungkook turned on the light and looked at Jennie's body laying near the staircase face down. Blood creating a circle around her head. Jungkook dropped the metal rod and went near to get a closer look at Jennie and to make sure she was actually dead this time.

"What an idiot! How is she a scholar? Huh! Shouldn't have come down here dumb bitch." Jungkook said with a chuckle.

Jungkook again went in front of Taehyung.

"A relief you don't have to see the nasty thing over there. But you shouldn't have tried to save her you know! God Taehyung! No matter how much I try to make you understand, you just won't! They don't deserve you Taehyung. Understand that!" He said looking pitifully at the boy crying in front of him, with his head hung low.

Jungkook tutted and crouched down in front of him.

"There we go. Again you are crying! Don't cry Taehyung it's all over now. It's really all over now. You don't have to go through any of this any more." He said wipping his tears away and making him look at him yet again. Looking at him with those loving eyes again.

Taehyung couldn't keep his mind straight. Jennie's voice was screaming in his head. The light smell of blood was clouding his mind. The incident that occurred just a minute ago made him feel like he was getting paralyzed. He was shivering, he was numb, his whole body felt cold. He felt like he wasn't feeling anything. Only endless tears were leaving his eyes.

And then there was Jungkook. Crouching in front of him, looking into him.

"I promise you Tae, after this. No matter what happens, it's not gonna hurt you. I promise you. After this, no matter what happens, I will be there with you. Always."

Taehyung didn't want to, but his mind was slowly getting off Jennie and starting to focus on Jungkook again. Taehyung again started paying attention to Jungkook. Though he didn't know if his words were really calming him down, but he did find some warmth in his words, slowly forgetting all that happened. Taehyung realized too, that whatever hope was there, it was all gone. And Taehyung found himself dissolving in the sweet talk of Jungkook.

He found himself leaving all of him to the person in front of him, yet again.

"Tae, I love you so much! So so much. No matter how many times I say this, it will always have the same feeling and emotion it had, the first time when I told you this. I love you Taehyung and just know all of this was just for you. To protect you from all the dangers of this world."

Taehyung noticed Jungkook had water in his eyes. He was looking at Taehyung with so much pain in his eyes. He didn't know why, but he felt something pain again. Seeing Jungkook, he realized he could feel his emotions too.

Jungkook looked down, and when he looked up Taehyung saw a tear leave his eye and run down his cheek. Taehyung didn't think that he would ever see the old Jungkook ever again. But he did, in those tears, Taehyung saw the little Jungkook he had seen all of his life. Something had shifted, but Taehyung yet didn't understand what.

Taehyung didn't realize that he was too staring deep into Jungkook's eyes, unless he saw more tears leaving Jungkook's eyes.

"I wanted to be with you all the time, to protect you all the time. But I guess we won't be together." His look immediately changed and his gaze shifted towards Jennie's dead body.

"Because of that bitch. See? I told you! None of them are good for you. You are seeing yourself now right? Just for her we can't be together! Just for her!"

Jungkook was looking frustrated, but more than that he was looking scared.

"The police are gonna be here any minute now! They will take you away from me. They will separate us Taehyung! How will I live without you?!"

Taehyung noticed the scared look on Jungkook's face. But he also noticed, it wasn't for the police, it was for him. In that moment when he had no idea what would happen next, he was wondering how could someone be like this? How did Jungkook feel so much for him? How could he do all this, just for him?

Meanwhile Jungkook had stood up straight.

"What should I do Taehyung? How will I protect you now? How can I lose you after all I did to be with you?"

Jungkook was crying like a kid. Like the one from whom, his favourite toy had been snatched away from him.

"How can I live without you Taehyung?"

"No no I can't. I can't."
