The Dragon Empire, a realm under the rule of powerful, flying beasts who spew fire and magic onto their foes. Coexistence was a foreign concept for this realm, centuries passing of violence and war for the dragons. The dragon race and their subspecies would know only conflict and hatred for life, but upon the world entering a medieval period, the dragons would gather together under the banner of unity and power. Driven by the desire to be the dominant race, several kingdoms were formed with the dragons being the rulers of the land. Mankind became mere servants to these great titans of flame, the few rebellions being quickly smashed to pieces.
The kingdom of dragons are united under a government of monarchy, with each race being in control of different sizes of kingdoms. The main dragon species being the most dominant to the other races. Despite the unity of the dragons, it is hardly perfect. Progress of the realm has been put in a slow halt due to the dragons being fine with how the world is, not wanting to taint it with "harsh metal." Conflicts have arisen between the kingdoms and has sparked minor conflicts, but none were drastic enough to split the empire into civil war.
In Kainen, war is inevitable. Despite knowing of their legends in other realms, the dragons are not greedy enough to wage unnecessary conflicts with the other realms. Rather they would want to stay in their realm and leave it as it is. Any threat that dares to cross into their realm will be met with fire and fury. The most invasions the Dragon Empire has dealt with came from the war race called the Biomachines, who will be discussed later. They have sparked a sort of rivalry with two realms in particular, the Sanctuary Paladins and the Dragaar Empire. Ironic that their greatest rivals are knights, just like in the legends.
Lizardmen

Not all of humanity was turned to servants for the great beasts. Powerful warriors have been bred by the dragons using their blood to create a new breed of man. The Lizardmen are considered the fodder tier enemies of the realm, but don't let the name fool you. They hold the honor and skills of a knight and the ferocity of a dragon. Because of the different testing and mutations, each race of dragons have their own version of the lizardmen. Willing to risk their lives for their lords, they guard the grand cities of the dragons and even the human settlements.
If a lizardman has proven themselves as powerful and capable warriors, they are given the souls of dragons to increase their strength and physical prowess. Becoming the Lizard Knights. They roam the battlefield, using giant weapons to mow down their enemies with burning breath.
