Harry: Not realizing you had drifted out of your slumber state, softly hushed spoken words filled your eardrums. You fluttered your eyes open enough to peer over at Harry, cradling the delicate infant against his muscular torso. The faint bags around his eyes were heavier, slightly bloodshot eyes from a lack of sleep and his dark curls rugged. Rocking her slightly, his smitten expression couldn’t be tampered with, ogling adorningly at her every movement. From how she squints, creasing the width of her forehead before yawning, to her hands that barely wrapped around the tip of his lanky fingers, every minute detail fluttered his heart. “I’m gonna’ have a really hard time chasing the boys away from you aren’t I?” Placing an ever so soft kiss on the button of her nose, he coughed slightly to flatten his shaky voice before sniffing around the words, “Yo-you’re just so perfect. Just like your Mamma.”

Niall: Toned arms cradling her like a sling, he kept her dainty forehead instinctively close to the soothing rhythm of his heart. His calloused fingers easily enveloped the width of her podgy stomach, caressing his thumb ever so delicately around the outline of her belly button. Turning to you, you could see his blissful smile and the mesmerized twinkle glassing over his blue eyes. “Sh-she’s so tiny”, he murmured, keeping his undivided attention devoted to the hour old infant. You reached your hand out, running the pad of her thumb around the outline of her faint dark hairline, “She looks identical as you as a bub.” “Ye-Yeah?” Niall head cocked to the side, arching his eyebrows in disbelief. You watched on as his smile widened as she slightly stirred, her podgy clenched fist pressing against his firm torso. “Yeah love. Looks just like her Dadda.”

Zayn: “God. She’s so tiny”, shakily speaking, the concern in his tone was evident as he gazed through the window. The array of tubes and breathing apparatus’ swallowed her tiny limbs, massive in comparison to her fragile premature frame. “Yeah”, sighing deeply, you bit your lip in an attempt to stop the threatening picks of salty tears welling in your eyes. Inside the incubator, her weak body tinged yellow, a result of her failing organs. “Hey”, sensing the fright enthralling your words, Zayn turned to you, “you know she’s going to be alright babe.” “I-just”, the cool feeling of tears rolled down along your cheekbone, “what if-”. “No, no, no. No what if’s.” Zayn pulled you closer into his warm chest, kissing multiple times against your scalp, “She’s a fighter. Just like her mum.”

Liam: Exhaustion riddled through your body, droplets of salty sweat still abundantly remaining throughout your moist hair. But the sounds of a handful of the boys eager chirping kept you from drifting off into a dazed state as they doted around the precious little boy cradled in Liam’s sheltering hold. Turning your head, Niall and Harry dotingly looked over Liam’s shoulder, Harry reaching his finger out for the tiny boy to envelope his dainty hand around. “He looks just like his mother doesn’t he?” Glancing up to you wrapped within the light sheets on the elevated hospital bed, a smitten grin enthralling his thin lips. “You’re right”, Niall tickled across the infants squirming arm; “Thank god he didn’t get Liam’s box head.”

Louis: Rambles of cooed screams filled your ears, escaping the mouths of both Louis and the infant who squirmed around in his lap. Louis contently continued to pull an array of faces, much to the delight of the tiny boy, his gaping mouth showcasing his gums. “It’s not every day you see such a natural father”, the nurse chimed up who was maneuvering the stethoscope against your chest, regularly checking your health. “He’s really in love with him”. Oblivious to the presence of the nurse and yourself in the room, Louis’ attention remained captured by the bubbly personality of his son, gently bouncing his knees to stimulate another fit of high pitched coos. Your blissful smile made itself as you softly reply, “Isn’t he just.”
