I woke up once again, but this time it was by the hands of my father. He shook me frantically, pushing me to open my eyes abruptly and in panic.

"Dad? Why are you waking me up so goddamn early?" I muttered sleepily, blinking my eyes in hopes that they'd adjust to the artificial light filling my room.

"Do you know where your sister is?" Hope and worry surrounding his words like a thick blanket.

I glanced over at my alarm clock, seeing it was 8:30 at night.

How did I sleep all day?

"Athena, come on honey you gotta help me out here. Your sister could be missing."  He frantisized.

"No, no I haven't seen her dad." I ran a hand down my face "What's going on?"

To say I was confused was an understatement, my mind still half clouded with sleep as I sat up. I couldn't have slept that whole time...I was just talking to-

And then it dawned on me...she left with the Cullens.

"Fuck." I cursed, ripping my cover off and following my dad out of my room.

There couldn't have been any other explanation. I might've slept all day, but if my dad was convinced my sister was missing- she had to have been. Charlie was never really the helicopter parent, so for him to notice that she's gone was concerning.

"Where are we going?" I followed him, sliding my jacket on as I followed him out the back door of the house. My eyes widened as I was met with what seemed like half of the reservation and dad's squad standing in my backyard.

"Dad, you're starting to scare me."

My worry went unanswered as my dad headed toward an older man, who seemed faintly familiar but I couldn't place his face.

"Athena?"

The deep voice surprised me a little, causing me to turn my head to be met with dark brown eyes and russet colored skin similar to mine.

"And you are...."

"You don't remember?" He asked, smiling despite the current circumstances. "We were friends when we were like 8?"

I dug through my memory, finding a very similar face to his- only much younger.

"Oh shit, Saul right?" I mentally facepalmed, knowing damn well he didn't look like a Saul.

He winced, almost as if he was offended that I didn't remember the name of someone I hadn't spoken to since I was 8 years old.

"Paul." He chuckled "It's been forever."

"I-"

I was cut off by the sight of a man carrying my sister from the woods- who I prayed was just sleeping. Without another word, I pushed past Saul and darted toward the large man carrying her flaccid body.

"Bells? Dad, is she ok?" I questioned frantically, assessing her body for any injury before she was passed off into my father's arms.

"She's fine. Found her in the woods asleep, you should get her inside." The man spoke up, receiving a grateful nod from my father who rushed into the house with her sleeping body.

"Thank you." I called out to him as he started walking away. I received a glance back and another hard nod.

"Are you ok?"

Saul approached me once again, this time with a solid look on his face as if he'd been scolded.

"Uh- yeah I'm fine. Just glad my sisters safe. I guess I have your friend to thank for that."

He nodded, surveying the woods behind me before he spoke again,

"You probably don't remember,  but we use to be close. If you need anything, you know where I live." He nodded his head back to the man, who was now sitting in a truck and seemingly waiting for Saul. He handed me a piece of paper with a phone number on it, and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jorts.

"Will do." I folded the small paper up and put it into my pocket. With a small nod, he turned to head off to the vehicle before I called out to him,

"Thanks again, Saul!" I waved, heading into my house before I could get a response.
