Amora

Amora closed her eyes as calmness washed over her while Draken scrubbed her skin clean. He went over her flesh with his own hand. Only a week had passed since she discovered the news, and a small part of her was relieved those people weren't her family. But the thought of abandonment left a small hole in her heart.

"You do know that I am not their legitimate child... so that means that the alliance is void." She voiced, making him stop caressing her skin as they sat in their bath.

He turned her face to meet his and gave her a kiss that made her feel as if that would be their last. "That changes nothing to me, love. It won't change how I feel about you. You are my queen and shall remain such until I am buried in the ground. Even then, you will still be mine. Our marriage may have been arranged but you are mine as I am yours."

Until I am buried in the ground. She feared that he would leave her sooner than they both expected.

Her head rested against his shoulder. "Mate me." He chuckled, not registering her words.

"Don't you think we've fucked enough, Amora? You were limping this morning." She flushed before shaking her head.

"I mean actually mate me. Like mates would do." He only stiffened, looking at her intensely.

"You wish for me to mark you? To make you officially mine?" She gave him a small nod, watching his baffled reaction.

"I know that we are not mates... but I would like to bond with you unless you think you'll find your soulmate..." When he saw her trail off with her overthinking, he turned her head towards his and gently placed a kiss on her lips. It didn't help the fact that he may have a soulmate out there for him. Another woman that was meant for him. Then what would She have? She'd have nothing.

"I'm 342 years old, Amora. I've looked everywhere for her. They say that by 20, you either don't have a mate, or they are dead." It registered to her that Steve may have said only one true thing to her. 'The moon goddess would never give you a mate'

"I'm sorry... I never understood the deeper meaning behind mates until I arrived here. It would be an honor to be your mate, Draken... if you'd let me." He growled softly and captured her lips with a feverish kiss that lasted for a short time before his lips reached the crook of her neck. This time his kisses on her neck felt different. Almost as if it wasn't right, but her body desired it.

She felt his fangs elongate against her skin before he bit down. A sharp cry left her lips at the pain, but it immediately became intense pleasure. It was far too overwhelming as he stared into her eyes, his own pupils dilating as they became one. Her body moved on its own accord and straddled him, splashing water out of the large tub.

He greedily accepted her body on his, pulling her down on his erection. Her womb was filled again with him, loving the effect she had on the Dragon King.

The library was starting to piss her off. There was nothing. Absolutely nothing that she was looking for. No history of the gods. No history of demigods either. Not even an ounce of history about hybrids like herself.

'You won't find anything here, Amora.' Her lycan communicated.  Amora only sighed, knowing she was right.

'Don't worry. Answers will come soon.' Her demon gruffly responded, seeming a little agitated. She couldn't help but ask her what was wrong. 'I don't know. I'm just irritable... and a bit too protective of us today. We may need a break from all this thinking. It's making me paranoid.' Amora agreed with a chuckle, making the many books on the table float back to their rightful spot on the shelves.
