"Whom did I come from?" Steve only cried out in pain and exhaustion at the question he had no answer to. His missing limbs were a result of that. He never knew she was capable of such torture. She used her power to keep him alive no matter the blood loss and missing body parts, making him feel unbearable pain, not able to pass out the way he wanted to.

"Please just kill me. I can't take this anymore!" He yelled, his tears not affecting her one bit.

"You will tell me. The faster you do so, the more I will debate on being merciful." She lies smoothly.

He whimpered, his eye sockets groggy and empty. "A-all I remember is there was a woman. S-she p-promised to make me set for life if I t-took care of you." Which he didn't.

"Was she my mother?"

He shook his head. "She didn't l-look like you. She was dressed in all black a-and her skin was deathly pale while her eyes and hair were as dark as night."

She hummed, remembering the woman from her childhood. "You waited until she left to spread and exert your terror. I'm guessing she had the power to make anyone's life a living hell if she wanted to. He nodded slowly.

"I-I knew you were important to her. To me, she d-described you as a blessing. But to me and Lena you were a curse." He choked out. "I remember the day Lena was pregnant with our first child. You were only five then, too young to know of your powers. She had held you in her arms while you were having a fit and anger made you act out. S-suddenly the baby wasn't there inside her anymore. Its remains were on the floor along with many other women's babies that resided in our kingdom. I had hated you ever since." He whispered the last part lowly and Amora breathed in deeply.

"I was a child. I didn't deserve anything you'd done to me. I didn't deserve to be a shell of a woman I never even sprout to be. My soul was darkened by you Steve, and now I will make sure Thatanos takes your soul and deliver it to hell personally. This is only a fraction of the pain you will experience in hell." She spoke her peace before letting her power cut off his life force.

He moved around in pain as his lungs entirely shut down along with every other organ in his body.

Amora left the filthy room, fighting her urge to throw up. Her mind reeled back to words and knew they were true. All great power came with a curse.

And her curse was death. Which didn't explain the unnatural phenomenon that had grown inside her.

Her hand almost caressed her flattening bump while  Mary came to her side with a bump bigger than hers.

She remembered her surprise when her two maids told her about their discovery of being with child. She learned that although she was a curse, she could also give blessings.

"Your majesty I told you that you can't be stressing while you are still healing both mentally and physically-" Alister began to scold her as she made it into the throne room but Amora only rolled her eyes as she took a seat in her husband's large, grande chair.

"Do not scold me. It is I that remember telling you to take it easy. You have been working so hard to pick up where I've lacked Alister. And for that, you deserve a break. Malory must miss her mate." A pink tint covered his cheeks at the mention of the beautiful redhead he mated with a week ago.

"I... well... She says that she understands I have to keep the kingdom healthy alongside you although she misses me."

She nodded slowly as she watched the room pile with the people of the court. The councilmen walked in with a glare, hating how she sat in their former king's chair so easily as though it was her own.

She almost blamed herself for his death. Which partially was true. His body couldn't handle her strength and it made him weak. Easily making him vulnerable to many toxic concoctions that were made for him by the spy for Steve.

"Dowager Queen." Amora physically winced at the title that was given by the oldest man there as he addressed her. Francis. "It is time for you to step down. We need a King and without a king, we are vulnerable to attacks."

She only rolled her eyes. "Whether you have a King or not, this seat will forever be mine. And not you, or anyone else will take it from me. This kingdom has flourished more than it has in the last decade under the rule of men. My vision of this kingdom will forever flourish even under the rule of my son." He looked even more furious at her statement.

"We all surely do not know if that child belongs to him or not. He could be a bastard! Son of one of the men that whored you out upon the request of your father-!"

Francis' head was immediately removed from his body, in the hands of the queen herself. "Any more objections?" Many were already in dragon form, growling at the councilmen in warning to disrespect her.

The room that was once filled with men and dragons, was now filled with a mixture of women and different species, all coexisting. All were doing something men couldn't do for eons. She gave peace and tranquility yet set examples. Her words were final and no one could test those words. She made sure her subjects feared their thoughts of betrayal to her, yet came to her when needing her empathy and compassion.

She smiled softly as Rowan carried the small bundle in his arms with ease, smiling ear to ear with happiness from being a big brother.

"Good morning mommy." The room gushed, watching their transaction while having their conversations, celebrating the rise of their queen.
