Amora smiled softly at the portraits that hung on the wall of the library after two months of preparing. She had them moved to the other side of the wall, starting with Queen Stella first then Queen Nija, and finally herself last. A Golden plate was placed at the bottom of each picture, adorned with their names in cursive.
She had noticed that the kingdom was quiet and she hadn't seen much of her husband at all. It made her sad, feeling the stress that was emitted through their bond. It was probably because of his father.
Draken entered their room late in the night to make love to her and give her affection before he had to leave early in the morning to attend to his duties while they also attended meetings together with his advisors. She knew that a war was coming. And that war was coming sooner than she'd liked. She knew that her father brought it upon himself, taking his anger and terror out on those around him.
"Good morning, your majesty." Mary bowed. "His majesty and the bastard are in the planning room and he requests your presence." Amora chuckled as Mary and Devana followed alongside her.
"Are you going to keep disrespecting the old king that way?"
"We have no respect for him, your majesty. If you wish us to stop our insults we will do so." Mary said the last part with disappointment. But Amora only smiled.
"It is quite entertaining actually. Many of these insults I've never heard of." She said with a smirk before the ladies giggled
Amora genuinely wished that Mary and Devana could have children. In her heart, she knew they'd make amazing mothers without a doubt.
The women felt themselves suddenly become dizzy before they gained control of themselves. It felt almost like a blast pushed them by their stomach before they felt arousal. Immense arousal. It almost felt like their heat minus the pain. Their mates had felt it too and they blushed at Amora's wandering eyes at them.
"You two may be dismissed." She said once she reached the throne room and they immediately scurried off in a hurry to their mates, eager to release the sudden need.
"My love." Draken greeted her with a tired tone. She noticed his skin was slightly pale and her mark on him looked off.
"Draken, are you okay?" She rushed over, inspecting him as she tried to find the source of his draining energy. He looked so sickly.
"I am fine-"
"Draken Trendun Ragnar. Do not lie to me. You look deathly pale." The people present smiled softly at her scolding their king as it reminded some of them of their own stubborn mates and how others hope their mates will be. He grumpily sighed as he let her take control. "You need rest." Before he could object, she gave him a stern look and he sighed.
She took over the meeting, allowing him to finally get the rest he had been needing. "Finn. Have you done what I requested?" He nodded, walked up to her chair, and handed her a file.
Each paper in the file showed a smiling, healthy-looking child. She smiled softly.
"The children are doing well and many have gotten adopted. I set up an organization to reach more and more people in the world for this. Many have sent children here, not being able to take care of them in their regions since many orphanages are facing poverty." She nodded slowly, liking what she heard.
