IV

I arrive at the police station, parking my car, and then going down, I go towards the door, but I don't even have time to open it.

I'm pulled in by Alan, who looked a little scared.

H- Alan, is everything alright?

A- We can't talk here, let's go

He drags me into his room, then pulls me inside and locks the door

H- What happened?

He goes to his desk, taking a folder out of his drawer, I look at him curiously, leaning closer to see the folder.

I'm incredulous when I see a bunch of pictures of me since I got to Duskwood

And look, it wasn't even 1 day, there were many photos of me taken from the day I arrived when I went out to meet my friends, as many photos of me from the bedroom window that I was

Pictures of me and Jake, ours changing, making love, of me coming out of the shower, I was terrified

H- What the fuck is this Alan?  Are you following me now?

A- What?  Of course not, I was at home when I received an envelope with pictures of you, and a piece of paper with the crow sign, showing that you -

H- Had been marked

I wasn't safe in Duskwood, I had to disappear, me and Jake

A- As soon as I opened the envelope, I got a call from an unknown number, saying that if I let you and Jake leave duskwood, the city would suffer the consequences.

Shit, what would we do now, we couldn't stay, but we couldn't leave

H-I have to go

A- HEATHER, be careful

I nod and then leave his room, heading to my car worriedly, put my things in the backseat and drive off aimlessly.

I wanted to clear my mind, so I decide to drive around town, pass the cafeteria and then in front of the library

My car rolls over I feel a sharp pain in my leg, and my vision darkens, I soon black out

I wake up with a noise, I soon realize I'm in the hospital, I try to get up, unsuccessfully because of the pain

I see 2 men enter the room, 1 was the doctor and the other was a very worried Jake

DOCTOR- Miss Heather Lake, right?

H-Yes

DOCTOR - You're lucky a couple who were hiking heard the noise and saw your car, you fractured some bones, like 2 ribs, your leg and dislocated shoulder, and you have some injuries in your thighs, but they don't seem to have been caused by the crash

I see Jake look scared at the doctor, apparently he didn't know

DOCTOR - We didn't take the broken glass from your arm because we needed to do some more tests, but I'll call the nurse to remove and clean them right now

I watch him leave the room then my eyes land on Jake

J- What the fuck were you thinking?  Go to Heather Forest?  O

H- I wasn't there on purpose Jake, I needed to clear my head before I went back home and give you the bad news I have so I went for a car ride, I didn't expect he would do that

J- What news?

H- We can't leave...

J- What do you mean we can't leave?

H- I arrived in Duskwood yesterday and he already knew exactly what I was going to do all day, took pictures of me, pictures of us at night, in the morning changing our clothes, making love, and sent it to Alan

J- What?!?

He starts to remove the glass, and he was cleaning, which was very burning, but I avoided showing it, he took the last piece of my thigh and then comments

NURSE- Funny, this glass seems to be different from the others, you are strong, the other girls we do less than that would already be screaming like crazy

H- Glad I'm not like other girls

He soon leaves feeling the rudeness in my voice, I sit more towards the corner of the bed, and call Jake to sit beside me

Which he gladly comes over and lies down, making me lay my head on his chest

H- What are we going to do Jake?  we can't go so we don't put the city in danger, but we can't stay because it's too dangerous

J- I don't know, but we'll think of something

I end up falling asleep in Jake's arms

What will they do now?  Heather was booked and couldn't leave town

And this hit people, did the faceless man expect Heather to die in the fall?  Or is it all according to his evil plan?
