Thankfully no one had woken up to our argument, and no one questioned me about why my face was flushed until Miranda came down a few hours later. Immediately that woman was able to tell that something had happened, and when she sat down she did not hesitate to ask about it.

"What happened?" She demanded. Her tone left no room for arguments or trying to get out of it, so I had no choice but to reluctantly tell her about the words that had been exchanged. Her anger was almost tangible, but she was able to control it enough to comfort me in the best way she knew how.

"You won't have to worry about him for much longer because once I get my hands on that bastard his dick is getting cut off and that will be his dinner," she snapped. I couldn't help myself as I burst out laughing, having to grab onto the bar top in order to stabilize myself. Others that were sitting around us looked a bit concerned, adding into the entertainment factor for us as we continued laughing.

Even though I knew she was was probably being serious, I couldn't help but be highly entertained. Although no matter what it did help me feel a bit better.

"You don't have to do that Miranda, it's really not that big of a deal," I said when we had both finally calmed down. Even though she was about 10 years older than me it was still easy to laugh with her, plus I could basically talk about anything that I wanted.

She rolled her eyes and smacked my arm. Not hard, but enough to show her anger. "You are like a son to me. Or a really young brother, I will always defend you Smiles."

My heart felt like it was going to burst as I gave her a small smile, squeezing her hand to show my affection as I had to tend to a few people who wanted food and drinks. So far the bar hadn't gotten too busy or overwhelming. It was honestly shockingly slow, because I didn't know of any events that were going on that people would have went to.

It was approaching midday and there were several times where I had wiped down the bar multiple times before someone had come along. People had even stopped to have a lengthy conversation with me on multiple occasions as they realized that I wasn't busy. Usually I only had time to have a few short conversations with people, but for the last couple of days the bar had been pretty quiet. Yes it had gotten busy at some points, but usually I was never able to get a break until I was actually done working.

I shook it off and went back to Miranda, rolling my eyes as I saw her already gossiping with Jessie, Scarlett, and Lilly. Those four were so close, they all acted as if they were the same person. Which, when you took the age gaps into consideration, it was a bit strange. But at the same time it was heartwarming to see them all love each other and protect each other unconditionally.

"What's the tea today ladies?" I asked jokingly. They loved me, and I was the only guy allowed in on their "gossip times." They didn't even allow Alpha, Ripper or Spider in on their conversations, and those men always jokingly glared at me whenever I was allowed to stay during the conversations but they weren't.

Lilly bounced excitedly.

"Guess what?" She asked happily.

"What?" I asked, leaning over and placing my head in my hand as my elbow rested on the bar.

"Dad and Ripper are taking me to the zoo this weekend! I'm so excited!"

I smiled happily, beaming as her as her excitement seemed to transfer to me as well.

"I'm excited for you Lilly! Do you know what time you guys are heading over there?" I asked.

She shrugged. "Not really, dad just said that we're probably going to be leaving in the morning though but that's about it."
