I walked into school with a face that said, "OK, there's school today and...?"

Everyone asked me if I was ok? It was truly a stupid question to ask in the first place even though they know both of my parents died during the summer.

Their car fell off our local bridge and into the lake and no one was there on time to save them. It was one of the worst days of my life. Everyone dies around me and it's not fair.

I gave Luke a smile but he just slammed his locker and left. He's mad at me because I broke up with him during our summer break; just a few days before my parents passed away.

Candace and Abby, my best friends, were their to confort me through my pain. Both of my pain.

"So...are you guys going to the bonfire tonight?" Candace asked.

"Um, I don't know." I said looking at the floor.

"If you change your mind, I can give you a ride." Abby offered.

Candace and Abby are complete opposites of each other. I still question how we are still friends. Candace is sometimes obnoxious and sensitive while Abby is kind and sweet.

Abby has always been kind and sweet to me, ever since we were five. Most friends don't last that long but Abby and I have this connection no one else has with their best friend.

"Thanks," I said still looking at the dirty while tiles on the floor.

And that's when I heard the bell ring, saving me from more awkward conversations.

"TYLER!" Candace yelled happily from across the hallway and waved him hello.

While Candace talks throughout the whole way there to class, Abby and I are forced to listen.

By the time I got home, I could already hear my brother, Chase, and the blasting noise of gunshots in his video games.

"CHASE!" I yelled.

But no answer.

After that I knew he had his headphones on and their is no way you could hear anything outside from them so I told myself not to even bother.

I put my headphones on and started to listen to Taylor Swift's New Album.

Every year the Seniors throw a bonfire in the park for every grade exept freshmen but really it's just a place where they hang out and drink.

I really didn't want to go but I also didn't want disappoint Candace and Abby.

So I made up my mind and decided to go.

I took a shower, picked out my outfit, and left my wet hair down.

I wore this casual red shirt that's older than the picture frames in the living room with a black leather jacket I got as a present from Abby for my birthday and dark blue jeans I bought myself when I went to the mall with Candace and Abby last year. Finally, I added this moonstone bracelet I got from my father a couple years ago.

I called Abby to let her know that I'm going and needed a ride, and I could tell she was smiling because of her high pitch voice saying "OKAY."

She was excited because this was the first time I ever left the house after my parents died.

I wouldn't say I was excited as well but I was not crying a river in my bedroom like I used to while my friends went to hang out or gone to parties.

When Abby arrived, I didn't even bother telling Chase that I was leaving because I know he'll still be playing video games by the time I come back and wouldn't even have noticed me gone.

While I entered Abby's car, it felt weird because I never went into her car all summer long.

It kind of made me feel sad.

When we arrived at the local park, I reconized a few faces here and there from classes at school but never got the courage to go up and ask for their name.

"You Came!" Candace said surprised.

"Yeah well, can't miss out on all the fun." I said sarcasticly.

When I saw her face, I knew that if we start having a converstation that she'll start taking about herself like usual. So I had to think of a way to get out of talking and more thinking.

"I'm gonna go for a walk around the park, ok?" I said hopeful she'll say nothing but ok.

"Sure!" said Candace optimistically.

The park was gigantic with trees making the park look more like a forest than a place to bring your friends and pets to talk.

While I walked around, I thought about all the things I missed during the summer; the parties, the hang outs, but most importantly, the fun.

After that summer, I felt different, like not myself at all, almost like a different person. It was weird.

I walked for a mile or two to visit the graveyard not to far from the park to see my parents grave. I knelt down and cried on their grave. Then picked myself up and started to walk back to the bonfire before anyone notices that I'm gone.

I was halfway back to the park when I noticed a white van behind me driving at the same pace as I was and I began to have a mini heart attack. My heart came to a halt. I knew I was going to get kidnapped if I didn't run. But I had an advantage. I played cool and I don't think the van behind me knows that I noticed them.

I counted to three and began to run. I ran as fast as I could but I wasn't fast enough. A person grab my leg and I fell to the ground and hit my head on a big rock. And that's when I passed out.
