No ones pov

You were all at the quarry, the boys all standing in their underwear at the edge of the cliff while you stood at the back with Beverly. The boys had played loogie before and are now staring at the water below them. None of them wanted to go first so Beverly undressed and ran then jumped off the cliff, impressing the boys. Seeing the way they stared at her creeped you out, men should have more respect for womens bodies, no matter the shape or size.

The boys hadn't looked behind them yet and therefore hadn't seen you undress. Once you were undressed. You made sure the straps on your bathing suit wasn't going to loosen while you swam.

You ran and jumped off the cliff, landing in the water. They all stared at you as you looked up at them and yelled "come one you pussies! Jump!"

Eventually they all jumped and you all played chicken, Beverly was on Stans shoulders, Eddie on Ritchie's, Ben didn't want to play, Mike sat on the rocks and you were on bills shoulders. In the end Stan and Beverley won, lasting a whole three rounds.

After about two hours of swimming and water games you all got out. The boys sat on the rocks and Beverly was tanning. You were sitting next to her with your feet in the water, you started thinking about life. About how cruel it was being to you at the moment. First you lose him then you and your best friend, Patrick, stop talking all together, after that, you're accused of murder, you had to switch schools and change everything you knew and were used to, now you officially got yourself your own bully by being friends with the kids he hates and almost killing him with rocks.

You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard the boys start to talk about a project Ben is doing and you stopped listening.

You stood up and told the guys and Beverly that you were going to get your clothes and towel from the top of the cliff and head home since it was getting late. They all said goodbye and you started leaving. Once you had your clothes you got dressed and threw the towel over your shoulder. You grabbed your bike and walked alongside it. While walking you saw something... Or someone....

There was no one else in the road or anywhere to be seen, just you and that person. Your heart started to race and your breathing got faster. You wanted so badly to run but your feet didn't move. It was as if you had been standing in cement and it was dry now.

You stared at the figure as they walked toward you at a slow pace, as if trying to intimidate you, and it was working. You weren't scared, no, you were petrified, screaming wasn't an option because your throat was dry all of the sudden.

The figure got closer by the second but you still couldn't move at all. As the figure got closer you could see more clearly, someone you know all too well. But how exactly?

The figure stopped in front of you, an arms length away. Somehow having a red balloon in his hand that came out of nowhere. He looked you in the eyes and slowly moved the balloon to his face covering it and muttering a sentence only you could hear clear as day.

"why didn't you save me"
