I didn't want to leave my bed on the day of my test session with one of the company's songwriters. a groan left my mouth. this guy was probably a total dick and wouldn't get the music I was making or trying to make it into commercial bullshit that sounded like everything else. but it had been two more weeks in which I couldn't make any progress so I guessed I had to go there.

today I was taking the bus to the big building since my parents headed to work early and couldn't drop me off.

I heard 'still with you' by jungkook playing over my headphones while passing the building my brother and I had moved into just a bit ago. maybe it was time to search for my own place again. a flat that was a little smaller. or maybe the company even wanted me to move into one of their dorms when I accepted their offer. that was normal for idols, right?

but would I still live alone? I hate being alone so that wouldn't be a very good idea. I just don't know who I could live together with. all my friends from school either moved away for university or already lived with their partners or roommates.

noticing I already reached my destination I quickly left the warm bus and stepped onto the snowy ground. I passed the company's cafe as everyday making a mental note to finally go there sometime for an americano or something. maybe a hot chocolate.

not long after I had entered I was already led threw the many hallways to the studio of the guy I was supposed to work with. I was glad ms. lin was the one walking with me since she took some of my nervousness. we were on the 5th floor meaning it was a bit away from my office. probably because he was at the company for a longer time and worked closer with many of the artists.

"he's mostly producing at the time but also works together with our artists on lyrics and general song concepts." she told me and I just nodded. I wasn't that interested in working with him anyways.

"alright we're here." she smiled and put a hand on my shoulder. "I know you're probably not too thrilled about working with someone else." I chuckled a little. "but I think if you would work together with anyone it would be chan. he is a really kind man and will understand your concerns about a new working partner." I nodded slowly thinking about not working with my brother for the first time. "please give him a chance to help you with your project. he won't ever be able to replace your brother but he could be a good assistance to the music you and your brother made, okay?"

that's why I liked her so much. she understood what I was worried about and didn't blame me for it. I gave her an honest smile before she patted my shoulder one last time and then left to return to her job. I took a few deep breaths.

'Bang Chan' said the little sign on the door. I hope ms. lin was right and he would not be an ass to me.

it took a few moments for the door to open after I knocked. I was met with a man dressed in all black looking back at me before smiling a little and inviting me to come in. "hey I'm bang chan but you can just call me chan or hyung when you're more comfotable with it." I nodded. "you're kim jeongin, right?" I nodded again.

he chuckled and I noticed he had cute dimples. "well, jeongin, I'm happy to meet you and hope we will work together well." I even smiled a little even if it wasn't a completly honest one. he really did seem like a nice guy at first but that didn't meant we could work together.

he sat down on a comfortable chair and gestured me to take place on the couch that stood infront the opposite wall of the small studio.

"soo, I looked threw the stuff you and your brother made. I hope you don't mind. our boss gave them to me this morning since he didn't ask me if I was free that long ago." and what? you don't like them? just say you don't have taste and we can end this.
