on a rainy day chan and I were sitting in his studio as most of the time. I was rarely in my office anymore since I'd rather brainstorm here or in the dance room and had do be here for producing anyways. I really liked chans studio it was small and cozy and perfect to work at. but today we weren't that motivated so we began chatting and talking about random things and old stories.
it was a lot of fun remembering the good times and chan was so excited about it. after calming down from laughing about a story of me falling off the stage at a talent competition in middle school I remembered the contract I wanted to talk to our boss about.
"yeaa I get it, I wasn't the best performer back then." I chuckled and saw chan laugh at me a little from his big chair. "ehm coming to think of it I need to talk with our boss.." "hm? something important? wanna go to him now?" he asked and I thought about it for a moment. "I wanted to text him first. I don't want to run into a meeting." chan chuckled a little at that. "I'm pretty sure you don't have to. it's friday. he never does important stuff on a friday." he laughed. "oh, you sure?"
"mhm, wanna go?" I shook my head yes and was glad he was coming with me. the boss was very nice but I still felt like a newby and didn't know how stuff worked at the company that well yet.
we got up to the highest floor and I knocked on the heavy wooden door.
"come in..ah chan! jeongin! I'm glad to see you two together. how is the working going?" he asked looking up from the papers on his desk. "we were having our troubles at first but i think pretty good?" I said looking over to chan with a questioning look and he nodded giving me a reassuring smile.
"ah that's great. I knew you two would get along! so, what brings you here?" he asked, organizing some of the documents.
"I want to sign the idol contract." I stated with a steady and loud voice. my words left chan as well as our boss in a little shock. I guess he thought I already made my choice of just staying a songwriter and chan probably didn't even know about the topic.
"jeongin, that's wonderful! and you're really not forcing yourself to do so?" I shook my head no. "I really want it. I thought alot about it and it's the right decision for me." "oh I'm so glad you changed your mind. what do you think about you coming to my office tomorrow afternoon and I explain everything to you in detail and you can sign your contract. would that be okay?" I nodded excited and got out of the big room with chan following me like a baby sheep that lost it's mother.
"jeongiiiin, ahhh why didn't you tell meee ahh that's so cool. you're going to be a great idol!!" now he almost sounded like my mom when I had told her about it. it made me chuckle. "come on, I wanna tell the others!!"
