As soon as the day ended for him, M/n went straight to the park, somewhere far enough that he knows the Workers won't bother to check.

It was exhausting. Everyday was. But was he complaining? Hell, yes.

Feeling his eyelids start to drop, he was going to allow himself to drift into the luring darkness of his vision, ready to take a rest and fall asleep despite being in a public place.

But before he could, he felt someone sit right beside him, abruptly ruining his plans. He turned his head to the person, sending them an annoyed look.

And as expected, it was— once again— Gun.

"Here again?" M/n lazily spoke up, too tired to keep his eyes on Gun's— which resulted him to avert his gaze and just look ahead with half-lidded eyes. "Don't you have something else to do? A hobby or something?

"My hobby is to stick with my work."

"Does that hobby of yours include obsessively finding where I am and then stick as close as possible?" M/n suggested, a half-assed grin on his face.

Gun sighed.

"I'm joking." The boy breathed, a chuckle soon followed after the end of his breath. "So, I'm assuming you're here for the information? Well, unfortunately, I doubt what I'm going to tell you is something you don't already know."

"It's the 3rd week though? I thought you would have enough by now."

M/n groaned, not hiding his complain. "Don't sound so disappointed." He then sat up. "Look, it indeed is the 3rd week, meaning there's plenty more to go. I don't get the rush, from what I heard, it would take the Workers another decade to overturn the HNH group. That's plenty of time."

"Do you plan to spend a decade of your life undercover?" Gun arched a brow, not getting where M/n was coming from.

"If that's what it'll take, then yes. I don't have anything better going in my current life, and I'm still young." The boy nodded.

He felt Gun raise his other hand, holding some kind of canned drink. He was offering it to M/n, seemingly noticing how close he was to falling asleep.

"It's coffee, light. I know you can't handle the bitterness." Gun said without looking, too focused on keeping his eyes upfront. And M/n could tell that the man shoved down his pride just to offer him a drink.

He didn't know Gun was this considerate.

"Thanks, I guess." He gently took it from his hand, holding it in between both of his palms. That's when he noticed it. "Hey, it's opened." He looked at him. "You already drank from it!"

He was taking it back. He should have known if Gun was acting out of normal, it surely means a catch.

"So what?" The man arched a brow, too indifferent to the situation.

M/n pursed his lips into a thin line as he felt his face heat up at the mere thought. "Don't make me say it!"

"Say what?" Gun raised his brow even higher.

M/n bit his bottom lip in effort to compose himself. He then took a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling. "Well, you know, it kinda seems like a. . ."

"Like a what?"

"Like an indirect. . ."

"An indirect-what, M/n?" Gun was growing impatient. "Just say whatever it is, I don't get how you can find something so embarrassing to say."

"An indirect kiss, okay?" He blurted out in one breath.

Silence soon followed.

M/n buried his face in the palms of his hands, placing the drink beside him as he dawned the embarrassment.

His shame only takes effect on the most stupidest things.

"An indirect kiss? What are you, 12?" Gun scoffed. "You're not in middle-school anymore to be affected by such things."

But in truth, even his own chest was pounding.

Perhaps it was because of the stupid things that come out of M/n's mouth. Perhaps idiocy can cause heart failures.

"I get it, okay?" M/n was also embarrassed to be visibly affected by the simple words. "I was just disgusted that I have to share a drink with you. It's totally not because I was thinking of other things!" He denied.

Gun could almost palm his face right there, right now.

"To prove it, I'll even drink it now!" M/n exclaimed as he brought the drink to his mouth, cheeks flushed, now fully awake. He took a few gulps down before wiping his mouth, sticking his tongue out dramatically. "Bitter!"

"It's just light." Gun scoffed.

"But I proved my point!" M/n sat back. "I told you. . ." He slurred at the end of his words, unable to complete it before his head fell to the side and soft snores followed after.

Gun felt weight on his shoulder. Literally. He turned to look, wondering why the loudmouth suddenly went silent. And he saw that M/n fell asleep at the middle of his words, his head now resting against his shoulder.

And he didn't know what to do.

Who the hell falls asleep from drinking coffee?

But instead of making an effort to wake the boy up, he instead sat back, deciding that he wasn't that heartless to wake an obviously exhausted person. He was aware of how M/n has been working hard by the pen he carries around.

At first, he didn't think the boy had a hardworking bone in his body. But he was proven wrong. He was quite impressed by M/n, actually.

But he'll never say that out loud. Never.

He reached for the canned coffee in M/n's hands and brought it to his lips, taking a casual sip nonchalantly. He then placed it away to avoid it spilling.

Sitting back as he made an effort to make the both of them comfortable, he realized just how out of character he was to go out of his way for someone like M/n— someone who he always found annoying and overbearing.

Perhaps it was pity? Seems so.

But instead of troubling himself with unnecessary thoughts, he felt himself close his own eyes, taking a deep breath as a wash of relief overwhelmed him.

A few more hours out won't hurt that much. . .
