The two of them looked at each other urgently before quickly scurrying down the steps into the window just above the guard. The idiot, who'd obviously has never seen an electric torch in his life turned it on, nearly blinding himself before waving it around alight. Chloe felt her heartbeat quicken with anxiety. The plan was already going aloof. The others were waiting in the woods waiting for the signal. But the pointless waves of the light was not a part of the system of codes that they'd decided upon.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Nikabrik asked followed by unsure shruggs from Glenstorm.

In the distance an alarm could be heard, the guard went on high alert, and Edmund promptly jumped out of the little window to incapacitate him and get the torch back. But the guard whipped out his sword and deflected.

Chloe groaned, moving her staff into her dominant hand, "I knew this would go poorly," she muttered before jumping out to help Edmund.

The guard, realizing he was outnumbered, quickly signaled for backup. Soon after, Edmund and Chloe were both fighting one-on-one. Grunts and clashing of weapons could be heard as attacks were blocked. One of the guards had Edmund pressed up against the edge of the watchtower while Chloe was pushing the other back through the door he'd come from;

"Now Ed! Now!" They could hear Peter yelling from the ground, "Signal the troops!"

"We're a bit preoccupied at the moment Your Majesty!" Chloe snapped annoyed before pushing the guard through with a final shove and locking him in by breaking the handle. Edmund was doing a good job at defending himself but another guard had turned up. With a swift turn, Chloe swung her staff like a club, knocking the guards flat on the ground and handing Edmund the torch back, "Don't loose that again," she huffed catching her breath.

Down below, she could see the Telmarine army charging toward Peter, Susan, and Caspian as they struggled to open the gate, "Go help them," Edmund told her as he lit the torch, signaling the troops to attack.

With a nod, Chloe jumped off the watchtower, a purple haze under her feet, helping her land softly before running to the others, "Who are you really doing this for Peter?" She heard Susan prompt as they shuffled to get the gate open in time.

"Don't say I didn't tell you this was a bad plan," Chloe muttered earning an angry look from Peter.

Approaching the gate the yells of Narnians could be heard. The Telmarine soldiers got closer, "We're under attack!"

Reepicheep and Trumpkin succeeded in closing the draw-bridge right when the others got the gate open. The Narnians were in.

"FOR NARNIA!" Peter yelled brandishing his sword.

And so began the attack. Fauns were running up the buildings, Reepicheep's mice were scurrying all around, Caspian was slicing his sword to any Telmarine who got too close, and Susan was firing arrow after arrow. Chloe was smacking her staff against the enemy, burning them, trapping them in cracks of the pavement, to leave them for someone else to deal with. The amount of energy it took for her to do all that was exhausting, she forgot how much of a toll her ability came with.

For a brief moment, she'd forgotten about Edmund, until she heard someone shouting for the archers to take aim. Looking up she saw half a dozen archers pointing crossbows into the fray, until one was knocked over and killed when he hit the floor. Edmund stood on the landing with the Telmarine archers.

"Take cover!" She yelled, raising her hand. Edmund dived through the open door, kicking it shut as the archers aimed arrows at him. Waving her hand, Chloe blasted the archers back, impaling each one with the arrow from the soldier behind them, and crushing the last one with the weight of his colleagues.
